Does everybody know if you go to their larger stores (you can find out which stores on their web site ) you can pick out from the window view, free sample(s)?.
If it is a smaller store, you can only buy, prepackaged, boxed, candies. All the boxes and merchandise are dated. At the larger stores, where you can pick out individual candies, to your liking, the chocolates will be a tad fresher. Once sell by date comes, if any are left, they are trashed.
I live a distance away, so when I get home, I stick them in the freezer. Still great taste.

Breakfast of Champions...If we were sharing, I would trade your Butterscotch Square, for my Raspberry Creme...I don't really like those. I don't like the Molasses Chips either. They are always the dead last ones, I'll eat in a box of assorted.
Which ones do you leave for the last because you eat them by which ones you like first?
For me, the last ones kicking around in a box of assorted are the Molasses Chip and Rum Nougat. Those 2 are always the last.

Yeah, the Rum Noughat is awful. Only See's candy I hate (I still eat it, though. . . )
BTW: I usually eat my least favorite first, and save the best for last.
. . . And I'm trying to remember what a butterscotch square is like. . .
Looked it up. I love those too! Another favorite, never knew they were called that.
oooohhhh. . . I love Bordeauxs too!! Never knew their name either.

I quit!
Sadly I like them all.

Hortensia
Butterscotch squares, and those caramel-marshmallow candies, and the dark chocolate cherry, dark chocolate raspberry, and especially the seasonal apricot bon-bons.
You can see why I avoid See's store as much as possible, I like too many of them.

I haven't used a link before, so, let's try and see if this works.
This is the list of all of See's, individual, custom mix, select chocolates.

When I lived in California, I thought Sees was the best chocolate in the world - Then I tasted Purdy's Chocolate, and I realized how little chocolate Sees has in it and how much fillers it has instead of basic honest ingredients. Its comparable to "Pot of Gold' for quality , in a fancy package.
