Housebound? I volunteer to run up to the store every chance I get, just to give us both a little bit of space. When I first became retarded, oops, I mean retired, I told her to let me know when I was getting on her nerves, and I would leave for awhile, either to the local library or the local tavern, depending on the time of day.

We had a very nice dinner. I didn't have to buy flowers, because a very special family that we love very much had some delivered to us. They were just beautiful. They had the most intense fragrences and the blooms were small and will last for many days.

39 years...........that's REALLY cool. Waydago guys! My husband & I have 20, and it's been good...but he's got a large area he can retreat to, and I have a large garden for same purpose. It works.

I'm so glad y'all had a nice anniversary - that helps set the tone for the coming year - would be your 40!!!!!!!!

So you've got twenty years in on a life sentence. Not bad, kid.

For those who are newly married. I will give you some advice that it took me and my wife a long time to learn. Don't try to change each other. It doesn't work and it just irritates the other person. Also, if the other person does things that irritate you, and they always do, just forget about it. That's just the way it is.

Congrats Larc!

We've got 15 coming up in a couple of weeks. You gave good advice and I second it! I also like the comments about space for private time. I like to have that space sometimes but my wife still thinks I don't like her whenever I'm acting like I want to be left alone. I hope she'll get it in another 15 years!
