Well, at least throw up a REVIEW of it. Any good? Scary/suspenseful/lame?

Sorry, Xander and Refiners Fire. I'll try to do a review on it that doesn't give away anything.

It's interesting, clever, and holds your attention throughout. The acting is superb. It was VERY suspenseful.

On the negative side, there were about 3 things that really bothered me, kind of like "Well, why didn't they . . . ?" I'll wait and see what others think.

On crankycritic.com, he broke his rule and gave it a $10.00 ticket, whereas before $9.00 was the highest.

    It won't disappoint, i think. But it's just the 2 or 3 things . . .

This is a great thiller. Most thrillers sadly have the big boobie stupid wannabe actress falling down all over the place. While I normally find thillers entertaining I also never find them to make a lick of sense.

This is different. I found it to be very believable and I suppose I would have pretty much done as Jodie Foster did throughout the movie. I'll probably add this movie to my DVD collection.

Oh the 13 year old actress that played Jodie Foster's daughter does a great job. I see a future here.

I thought that's the way you liked 'em?

    As for the movie???

We went to the early showing - where there's usually 10 people. The place was packed. During parts of the movie....there was dead silence in theater. Absolutely NO ONE got up during the movie. Afterwards, the guy behind us. said jokingly, "Just makes you not want to go home to a dark house." We all nervously laughed.

Okay, here's here's the 2 or 3 things that bothered me about the movie, Panic Room:

    1. When she left the panic room to get the medicine for her daughter, she should have taken the cell phone with her to call for help from the bedroom.

    2. When she did call 911, i have trouble believing they put her on hold.

    3. When her husband came, he had been concerned enough to call the police, but they didn't arrive till it seems like a long time later. It must have taken the husband 10-15 minutes to arrive, so the cops didn't arrive for 45-60 minutes? That's seems unlikely, because the cops said they had had two calls (one from x-husband and one from the neighbor about the noise). They visited and she bluffed. But this caused enough concern for them to return with a SWAT team later. So, it seems they would have gotten there probably right after the ex-husband or even before. Why would they have been so unconcerned to not arrive for, say, an hour, but then return with the whole SWAT team. It just didn't add up to me.

    4. She could have easily conveyed quietly the danger she was in to the two policemen. Such as "Please go away and plan a rescue. My daughter is being held hostage . . . etc."

Those things really bothered me and seemed to me to undermine the credibility of the story. So, i was disappointed in it.
