Musky: What you are feeling is a result of your upbringing in the WT. I know because I too was raised as a witness and was taught to believe they were always correct and if everything was not going okay, then it was invariably Satan's fault. We have to stop thinking like that. Sometimes things just happen. We have to be strong, go forward, not look back and live our lives. Try not to doubt that you did the right thing by walking away from the organization. You may need to seek confirmation from others that you are indeed on the right track. Being on this forum will help, but independent study will alo assist you. Good luck!

The only realization that would be essential and realistic to you right now..would be to realize that YOU are not in Satan's world of deceipt just because you are not a practicing Jehovah Witness....and another essential realization would be to come to terms with the fact that if your thinking that way..then you must still be brainwashed...garybuss put up a very good link..go to it.

The WT ascribes more power to Satan than they do Jehovah and Jesus. It is a fear tactic. Do some research! If it's the truth, it would withstand scrutiny, right?

    Good posts everyone...good topic!

I have felt many times like maybe the fence is where Satan wants me too. But then I have to realize that growing up, the world was made to look like it's a big scary place without the Org, and it turned out to be more loving than the people in the Hall.

I've decided to live, laugh and love (like rekless stated), and have been mentally and physically healthier than I have been in years.

p.s.- its nice to see you Adonai! Where'v ya been?
