I too am trying to cope with the loneliness of losing friends/family after fading and being subsequently disowned myself...your story sounds very familiar...
Heck, my cult family members are even on a mission to turn my non-jw family members against me, and it seems like so far they're succeeding.
I feel very alone on this isolated island I live on. I'm planning on heading out to So Cal for a little while...you happen to be in/near that area? If so, I'd be happy to meet up w/you, usualusername.

Dear Usual.... hmm how could I put this ... have you ever had
a sweet little dog, that was with you for 5, 10, 15 yrs?

You probably still feel lonely & sad at times missing your pet.

So when you think of the emotional investment we made in this WT
organization ... the many yrs spent devoting everything to it,
(for me 50yrs), sacrificing your health, enjoyment, employment,
some gave up their lives & childrens lives for a false blood doctrine...etc
..... do not not be surprised at the huge hole this has made in your heart
& soul!

The loneliness & sadness is NORMAL under these circumstances!

This won't take the lonliness away but at least lets not knock
ourselves for feeling this way. We are good, beautiful people and
deserve so much more than we got. As you put one foot ahead of
the other ..... time will lessen these crummy feelings and will be
replaced by stuff that you will enjoy so much more!

The good old fashioned way of coping with loneliness. People went for walks. People went to the park. Volunteeir (some have commented on this).
Join a dance group. Pick up an musical instrument, and join a class. You will meet people at all of these places, garantee.
C'mon....meet us half way here.

It probably sounds weird considering how much time I spend with you all, but I am a natural introvert. My psychologist girlfriend is as well, and she had this book and said it was really good.

I have walked in to a crowd and felt completely and utterly alone. I push past the feeling and seek out someone looking as out-of-place as me. I have an insatiable curiosity about people, their interests hopes and dreams, so with a few questions we have a connection.
It's work, though

Which of these two thoughts resonate with you ?
1 - "Most [people] lead lives of quiet desparation and go to the grave with the song still in them"
2 - "Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you can start..."

My head is hurting Glander.
Must be something too hard for to think about on a Friday night.
Or, it could be the Crown Royale.

Oh yes,
Canadian Whisky is also good for loneliness.

Usual, I'm sorry your lonely, it's tough to feel alone...
ive worked on this in the last year. Find an activity you like, work at it. You'll meet people you have something in common with. Take the next step & organise coffee... When you find someone you click with, make the effort to keep in contact .....it works.
If you are in Sydney I will have coffee with you!
good luck to you
