Do you have an impending CO visit? He's probably just ticking the boxes and trying to 'encourage(R)' you so he can lick the CO's buttocks.

Cancel Wednesday and tell him you'll call him when you're free. If he asks why then look at him shocked and tell him that it's confidential.

If you really don't want to meet with them, I would suggest calling him up and telling this elder that you are not comfortable having them call on you, as his wife has been talking about you, and you find it offensive and disturbing behavior from an elders wife. (Having no rv's? Who cares? Most rv's are people who take the rags just to get rid of them. She just wanted to gossip) And ask him to please NOT open your car door,it's rude. Knock on the window like a normal person with manners, and you will roll it down. Or meet with them to stay way under the radar, say nothing negative about the org., but I would still mention the above. It will divert their attention from you a bit.

I read of an experience of how someone handled the elders when they came for a "visit", I can't find the post again and I will keep looking for it. But basically what the person did was...First kill the elders with kindness, have genuine concern about things YOU have noticed that the WT does....and just question the elders and say you are concerned about "X subject.." the person had a list of things and the elders couldn't answer the questions. Then as the elders were leaving the person then said "I have many more questions about "this" "this" and "this," next time you come can you explain it to me because I just don't understand.

The person used JWfacts to get the questions they asked of the elders. You could always do that. I will try to find that post.

Damn !!!! That was short of a car jack

The way that fool walked up to your car, grabbed the handle, and Opened the door

You coulda beat his ass right then and there wit' good reason

    You had a good excuse.

You didn't see who it was until after you beat him down

all you know, the door flew open while you put your keys in the ignition

he caught you off gaurd, you thought it was a car jack

simple as that. Teach his ass a lesson

He said "we wanna have a shepherding call with you, you're not in trouble or anything, just going through the list in my group"

    This is so sweet!

Can't you just feel the love and the genuine Christian concern for you as an individual?

    I think I just shed a tear.

I just had a sheperding call last week and I was told not to grow tired. Preach more during March (Memorial) and the big "A" is arriving in the near future, etc. I had to resist mentioning any thing negative or I might be invited to a Judicial Commitee.

sitting in my car putting my keys in the ignition, an elder pulled on my door handal and opened up

This is why I always lock my door immediately after closing it. That a-hole has some nerve. Be sure you lock your door at home!

So he told you that "you're not in any trouble" ???????????????? Who the f*** does he think he is? Only if he were the local sheriff, he would have a right to say that. You are not a child, and you didn't get caught stealing candy. That attitude burns me up!

@ Gojira_101 : Funny you say that. That is exactly what I did.... When 2 elders came over, I expressed genuine concern, like "oh my, guess what I just heard? Someone told me that the organization was signed up as a supporter of the UN??? That CAN"T be true!" So of course they begin with their usual "well whoever gave you that information is an apostate and can not be trusted..." So I said, "no it wasn't an apostate, it was just a coworker who was reading something in the news about it and mentioned it to me as he knew I was a JW..." I told them it's not where I got the information that concerns or worries me but the information itself. So I told them I went directly to the UN Website where I found the infomation along with the letter from the UN where they confirmed that the WT organization was indeed listed. For the rest of our conversation I continued to stress my confusion about how this could happen and how let down I felt. The said they never heard anything about it and it was NO DOUBT FALSE information, so they would look into it for me and would come back.... They never came back.
