Belief in god and spirits don't go together. If there was proof that there were spirits, it wouldn't prove that there is a god.

but it might if you were able to get rid of them in a certain way

Intention is the key. Whatever power point you use for your mind isn't that important.

It wouldn't? I always assumed it would, why do you say that?

astral travel is not hard-- get a CD and follow the instructions. I did it on my first try . I was in my early 20's. I am told that it is easier for younger people to do this. I did it twice and it frighted me and I threw the tape away. If you know how to meditate it is easier too. You must be able to really relax your mind----something I can't do anymore. I once was in a group doing guided meditation and they had us find our happy quiet place. I could not do it b/c I don't have a happy quiet place anymore. When they say you need to be able to empty your mind they mean it.

Maybe, look at the history of this stuff. Lots of cultures going back thousands of yrs have totally believed in the continuation of the consciousnesses of their friends and relatives. Gods, however, are different stories. They often believed in many gods/goddesses, or just a few. Bible god is a relative newcomer. If there was proof of spirits, which god(s) or goddesses would it also prove? If it proved some gods and not others, then, why would it prove any gods?
If there were spirits, would you trust them? Why or why not?
