Just got a call from my mother. A daughter of one of my mother's cousins just died due to complications of breast cancer surgery. The funneral will be this Saturday. Jws as far as the eye can see. The father is a doofus of an elder. I have no desire to go.

Three days before my sister died, her husband call me
and told me, your sister requested that you do not come to
visit her. After her funeral one of my daughters call and
told me the freinds was shocked because i was a no show.
I told my daughter what had taken place (don,t visit her)
she understood.

I barely know who the young lady is. I say young because I'm pretty sure she was younger than me. But I do know her jackass elder father. Stupidity along with being an elder is a mix I have no desire to witness again.

While I realize I don't know your story, You will probably never regret going, but you may regret later on not going. Nothing says you have to stay more than a few minutes, just long enough to offer your sympathies. And they can't talk about your not showing up.
