Here's the reality: being raised as a JW messed with my brain so much that I couldn't even function around women until a while after I was kicked out. My ideas of romantic love were hopelessly archaic. The one girl I loved in high school asked me to come by one night in the winter when her parents weren't home. I ended up walking ten miles (I didn't drive at the time) in an ice storm clutching a handful of frozen daffodils. I got to her door, blue in the face, thrust the daffodils in her hands as she gasped in disbelief and horror....
...and then walked ten miles back without another word.
Mind you, this is right around the time I was being kicked out for writing a political paper. Because I was such an awful person.
And I was shunned for almost 25 years because I was such a perverted freak. Yeah, the bit about the political paper got buried, and members of my own family just assumed I was out of the congregation for fornication.
The reality was that I was so awkward and frightened by love that I couldn't even murmur a word of it to the person I cared about.
Does this new garbage make me a little bitter? Yeah. Maybe a little bit.

The end is near I reckon, really. something is about to break under all the pressure. that spring has been coiled so many times it about to go.
I know that serious issues of peoples health are common place. I mean, mental health. There are a lot of people that are literally breaking down, they are used up and burned out .... exhausted from scurrying about 24/7 for years. Like slaves down the mines. Can't see and are isolated from society, they haven't a cue what's really happening.
The cycle has repeated itself and they are now knowing what their like of 1975, and all of the other times like it, felt and went through and experienced. The devastation, hurt and pain of lies and false teaching, sacrificing their lives as true believers.
It does hurt, to say and see this about people, suffering. We may know loved ones still in, we may have loved ones still in. It's kinda like a watching a burning building.
It's going to come to a head right soon I reckon. it will be forced to.
