  Read the Jefferson Bible and it ends with Jesus dying and being entombed, and everyone walking away. Not exactly an inspiring account to base a religion around. I

  Mark is the same, theres no resurrection in Mark before the short and long endings in 16;8. I know your going to mention the "risen" in 16:7 i think it is, but still its hard to imagine if this was referring to a resurrection why nothing else is said. It seems more realistic to take "risen" in that context to mean hes gone to heaven, something that we today also say when people and pets die, aka they have gone to pet heaven and so on.

  Really fascinating subject for me as well. I love how you guys in this forum go really deep on your research, probably more thoroughly than Luke.

  I'll definitely be looking into the subjects, sources, and references you mention.

  With the WT Memorial so close, it's ironic to think that I thought I knew everything about Jesus and his life on earth. I'm certain my friends still feel this way.

  I also found this and the related subject about 'Markan priority" (which I referenced in my post above) to be unexpectedly "fascinating." It is amazing the world of research and ideas that exists outside of what the WT lets you see.

  Markan priority shows that Mat and Lk are frauds, they take an existing text and while copying most of it make minor tweeks which make either themselves or Mk wrong.
