My husband MISSED the meeting today! AGAIN!!!

Yep, I was comparing the NWT with the Greek, which, incidentally uses words like 'grace' and 'spirit' instead of 'undeserved kindness' and 'gifts of the spirit'. I pointed out these mistranslations to my dear husband.

Then I showed him 2 Tim 2:5-6 in the NWT and the original Greek (Strong's, Westcott and Hort) as well, where it says Jesus became Mediator for ALL and showed him in the WT where it says Jesus is only mediator for 144 000. I also showed him an instance in the WT where it raves on about hating 'apostates' and others, then showed him Matthew 5:44 "However I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those persecuting you."

I didn't have to say anything 'apostate'; just show him the contrasting texts.

Then I showed him the "Shepherd" book where it says one can get DFd for " Deliberately spreading teachings contrary to Bible truth as taught by Jebovah's Wit nesses" (ibid, pg 65) and told him that I've deliberately told him something different to the WT teaching therefore in the elders' eyes, I can be dfd. Then I showed him 1 Cor 5 and contrasted it with Scriptural grounds for dfd and the list in the "Shepherd" book.

Once again, all I had to do was show him the contrasts.

He got very confused to say the least, asked where I think we should worship and some other questions, the answers to which I honestly confessed that I do not know.

Long story short, he decided to take me to the beach instead of to the meeting. Amazing! I hope this continues, and we both attain the real truth.

For all you out there who are in the same situation as I am, maybe comparing the WT to what the Bible actually says, could help you. I showed him everything from the CD WT Library and clicked the links to the NWT scriptures, and showed him also from a hardcopy of the NWT. The Greek came from bible.cc Interlinear. I hope this helps!

Well played. Congratulations on this. Seems quite significant. If only more would wake up to the lies of the WT.

lol that's all it takes to get somebody to take you to the beach? let me write this down in chronological order. Let's see, first go to 2 Tim 2:5-6, and then Matt.5:44, ok. Now by this point I should see her thinking about what swimsuit she's gonna wear, right? Happy for you though, you got him and he's got you. That might be all that matters.

I am very happy for you and very impressed with your reasoning skills. You gave him just enough, to set him thinking. Your husband has a caring and loving wife. I think he knows that.

    Just Lois

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww thanks Lois!! I gotta be what I am :)

He's an honest, kind, and sensitive man. We met through the congregation...I have the WT to thank for that...

    Wow AWESOME news, Julia!

Glad you two were also able to enjoy a wonderful day at the beach, instead of a brain washing meeting in a sterile room....

Oh, amazing Julia! I hope he sets himself free and you can both be happy together without a publishing company to tell us how we should live our lives.

That’s good news! The Witness religion can be very destructive to marriage if one partner leaves, as the beliefs affect almost every aspect of life; but if you are one of the few who can escape unscathed it will be great!

Wow Julia, what excellent progress in a short time.

Where? On the beach of course. Or in a rainforest, or on a hiking trail. Definitely not inside a building with Pharisees (enemies of the Good News of Jesus and his mediatorship) who worship the Sanhedrin (GB).

Of course the question is not where but whom!

(John 6:68) ...Simon Peter answered him: “Lord, whom shall we go away to?

Greetings, blessings and peace to you and yours

    Fernando
