Sayswho, I think you are right to take that approach. My mum is of a similar age, and it is such a big part of her that to tear it away from her would leave a gap that could never be filled. I hate the cult and I wish she never brought me up in it but It is her world and who am I to try and forcibly rip it away from her at this stage in her life?

Cantleave...so true. She has been divorced for over 30 years. Hoping for the new system to solve all her problems. A few years ago I asked her if she was still in love with my step dad and she said yes. So she has never lost her love for him and has hope Jehovah would fix things for her but it has not happened. She threw herself in the religion hoping this would make her life meaningful. It has failed.
