Yes, the stolen potential grates my teeth. Even more bothersome is the teenagers encouraged from the platform to turn down scholarships, to consider field service the highest calling of all, to turn down college.
Surely the potential of JW youth is the same as everyone else. That means they are suppressing the talent of potential nurses, doctors, lawyers, firemen, policemen, teachers, architects, engineers, philosophers, economists, mayors, and who knows how many more?
Remember the promising cello player who took his life after judicial action? Tragic.
