Even if the WTS has given up the fight, does that mean they pay Candace and both parties ride quietly off into the sunset? Would there not be some media storm surrounding the finality of the suit?
Last year, when news of the case hit the wires in what I percieved to be a pathetic response by media outlets to the highest penalty ever levied angainst a church in a case like this, I assumed the media's casual interest was due in part to the fact that they knew it would be appealed and were waiting for the "real" verdict to be handed down before deeming the story news worthy.
I see the March 26 date has been removed from the site. *sigh*
I Heard a RUMOR that the G B had an all night Prayer session after they had some wine and some pizza.
But Jesus didnt come! so they left for the private lodges on their private planes to contemplate the future!.
it is still there Jgnat
Not an attorney here (as is obvious) but even if the appeal is dismissed, aren't there any provisions to re-appeal (if that's the right word) at a later date? Or is it "one and you're done?"

I find this very strange...why did the WT bother to have an appeal, then they don't get the paperwork in to the court. Maybe Cedars is right..it could be some kind of Houdini-trick.
We'll have to wait and see.....I can't really believe that the case is dismissed.
It hasn't updated yet...I highly doubt the WT has thrown in the towel though. Time will tell.
It's not over. The WTS filed their brief....
