Dangerous impersonations: Jehovah's imaginary ministers, counselors and judges

Somehow or other we humanoids like to engage in a form of thinking which will make our life more bearable--and that involves

sort of a POSTIVE mental attitude.

But, nothing wrong with that. Right?

    Right.

However, it doesn't seem to stop at that.

We go farther than thinking things will be better. We indulge in a very pleasant state of mind called HOPE.

Hope is what? Hope is wanting something to happen--but--knowing it might NOT happen.

Surely, it is okay to want something GOOD or positive to happen...as long as...you realize that it just may NOT happen.

That is being reasonable and remaining positive.

HOPE contains the awareness of defeat.

But, do we settle for that? Nope.

    We go still farther.

We can use our imagination to stimulate even more than hope.

We can impose complete confidence (which makes us feel way better) by IGNORING the possibility of failure or defeat.

This is where we drift into the deep waters of......FAITH.

Faith and Hope are not synonyms by any means. They may be kissing cousins.

Hope is wanting something to happen--but--knowing it might NOT happen. Faith is claiming something will happen while denying the real possibility it will not.

Red Flag Red Flag Red Flag

The most dangerous thing we can do is to pretend to know something we, in fact, do not know.

You may as well attempt brain surgery on yourself.

When you connect God and morality to this kind of thinking what can go wrong? Hmmmm?

Pretending to know things you do not know does not make you a moral person.

Impersonating a doctor want enable you to operate on them with disasterous results.

And yet---as Jehovah's Witnesses we are actually IMPERSONATING an emissary from a Divine All-Knowing Being!

What happens to Elvis impersonators? Do they actually "become" Elvis? Or, are they just sort of ridiculous objects of mirth?

Well, I don't know--but--I do know Jehovah's Witnesses (for all their pretending to be important to Jehovah) are not qualified

to counsel people with emotional and mental problems. They aren't qualified to handle cases of rape, incest or child molestations.

They aren't qualified to interpret historical matters. They aren't qualified to translate texts.

THEY HAVE FAITH THAT THEY CAN.

Such faith is nothing more than PRETENDING to know something which they DO NOT know and practising it on others!

When you think of a car filled with JW's driving into a neighborhood you are describing an automobile filled with delusional thinkers

    about to perpetrate a fraud!

People pretending to be able to speak for an invisible deity are going to impersonate ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE.

Guess what? You can't pretend to know what you, in fact, do not know without being delusional.

Jehovah's Witnesses have FAITH. It is a PROXY, however. All the "information" they have has exploited their willingness

to be competent as ministers without actually having mastered any subject necessary for that competence!

The ministry is one of FRAUD and SELF-DECEPTION which is unwitting. They have been used because of their "Faith".

So, what can we conclude? Is Faith a bad thing for Jehovah's Witnesses?

Before you answer that---ask yourself a different question.

Would you want to go to a Doctor who graduated from medical school or one who simply had FAITH they were fully competent to treat you?

What about a dentist who had faith---but no official medical training?

Would you trust your family's finances to an accountant who pretended to KNOW how investments work?

You see---incompetent people instructed by other incompetent people may have hopeful good motives in their heart--YET--be capable of doing

    a lot of UNINTENDED HARM.

The bottom line is that Jehovah's Witnesses are good, kind-hearted people for the most part who are victims of FAITH.

The pretend to know what they have no training or fact-based knowledge to back up that confidence.

They are counselors, instructors, teachers of morality, child rearing specialists, advisors, confidantes and such with

ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY of their own authorization!

    IT IS ALL IMAGINARY.

This is why they are dangerous impersonators.

    I can remember the attitude.

I went to the Polytechnic Kingdom Hall in Fort Worth.

    It was a Texas attitude.

But, it was a MAN's attitude, too.

I'd be willing to bet that attitude wan't confined to Texas. In fact, I'm pretty confident that you'd find it in all the other Kingdom Halls.

I attended District Assemblies and an International Assembly. I met all kinds of JW's from lots of different places.

The brothers seemed to have been manufactured to display that attitude.

Oh--WHICH ATTITUDE is that of which I speak?

    Let me describe it!

A brother would begin describing an incident out in service and the upshot of his story was that he completely crushed the other person's argument completely and left them stunned and angry.

    Sound familiar?

These brothers usually barely made it out of High School.

    They mangled the English language.

Usually they were low income earners.

They had their wife under their thumb.

But, when the stepped into a Kingdom Hall they were SOMEBODY SPECIAL!

Out in service they were THE SUNDANCE KID!

The attitude is something I would describe with a strange juxtaposition of descriptive words. They were humble servants suffering from hubris!

HUBRIS. They were excessively confident in defying the other person's god. The faithful Catholic--to them--was a dupe and an idiot.

The good-hearted embrace of spirituality counted for nothing to a JW brother UNLESS that person paid for the Watchtower offering and agreed to a study.

Otherwise, these brothers couldn't wait to watch the slaughter at Armageddon.

These JW's who think they are something (when they are nothing) were led to believe in special competency by virtue of the Theocratic Ministry School.

Have you ever looked at a list of the subjects an actual minister must study in a Seminary? How many hours devoted to reading, studying and correctly completing tests are involved in become an ordained person of God?

OH WAIT---I forgot----actually going to Seminary is a BIG JOKE to JW's.

This is like a local yokel laughing at them "city slickers".

Isn't it peculiar that the one who knows nothing feels superior to the person who has actually studied and gained competency?

    No.

Not if you are a JW. You have all the confidence in the world. But, it is IMAGINARY!

Ask a JW what soteriology is or what hermenutics consists of.

A graduate of a Seminary can read and is conversant with Hebrew and Greek.

Have you ever listened to somebody giving a talk at the Kingdom Hall who parades their ignorance of certain Greek words like "parousia" just as though they could

order a meal in a Greek restaurant?

Confidence in a mere nothing is the JW's bluff.

    They are IMPOSTERS.

Too right Terry ! and their imposture extends as your thread title says, to claiming to be qualified as counselors and judges.

There used to be a WT publication "Qualified to be Ministers", unfortunately JW's never were or will be qualified to be ministers of the Good News or of anything else.

The only way to be qualified in any field is to learn from others who are.

    GOOD TOPIC!

    Yep! Well done!

What I use to get a kick out of, back when we were in the middle of the cong. we would do some intense research from the bible & WT and bring it up at a get-together or service group as a brain-teaser and all we would get was a blank stare or a "Oh you think too deep!" or a "Where did you get that?"

    Ummmmm.....our own literature!

Like Hubby always says JW's are the most self-deceived people on the planet.

  • Finkelstein

    They are IMPOSTERS.

True but its all in the indoctrination process though.

The WTS. creates in people's minds a self purposed image that the WTS. organization is the one and only true bible based religion

that god himself solely approves of. This is accomplished of course by constant mental indoctrination and the espousing that all other Christian

based religions are false religions with false corrupt teachings, which assertively blindsides people's to not realizing how indulgently corrupt and

false the WTS. teachings really are.

It should be realized that there is self supporting marketing agenda within many established religions that exist today.

Much like an automotive manufacturer marketing and selling its cars. We are better and here's the reason why we are better than those other

auto manufactures selling their cars. If you choose are cars (WTS.) you are most likely to be safe from dieing in a collision, here's

all the information to show and in detail why we are a safer car manufacturer.

This assertion of fear in people's minds goes a long way not only attracting people to the WTS/JWs but also retaining many of its allured

members, in spite of the occasional this just doesn't sound quite right doctrine that pops up from time to time.

    Terry:

Remember, Jesus' disciples were "unlettered and ordinary".

In addition to all you have said, I found it particularly unbearable when they presumed even further than this and attempted to insinuate themselves into your personal business. They thought they could get away with this garbage with single women.

Some of them were deluded enough to think they were the superior authorities. If anybody ever approached me now and asked the inappropriate questions these clowns asked, they would get a swift kick in their private parts.

I never met a bigger more covetous bunch of nobodies in my life!

The JWS religion reminds of a religion that some untrained or self trained bible learners, like a clothing salesman or a lawyer started with

the inherent intension in creating proclamations and purposed doctrines which were devised to attract attention to pieces of their

own published literature, with the added intent of proliferating that literature further to the available public. ..... naaaa silly me

Remember, Jesus' disciples were "unlettered and ordinary".

Non-certified do-it-yourself amateur theologians invented this religion and have run it into the ground over and over again

with wild speculation and unfounded conjectures that have gone awry. We have to stop and ask out loud: WHAT ACTUAL TEACHING

has stood the test of time?

    The chronology part?

    The doctrinal part?

    The interpretive part?

Don't make me laugh! There is a prideful sense of superiority to JW's vis-a-vis actual bible knowledge.

The only superior understanding JW's can claim is the willingness to point out the pagan origins of christian observances and doctrine.

But--STOP! Whatever good comes of that honesty is immediately destroyed by MAKING A FETISH OF IT!

They strain at the gnat and swallow the camel when it comes to a holier-than-thou refusal to participate in holidays.

Just because something has pagan origins from a time when most of the planet was pagan does not make it accursed forever!

Look at the calendar Jehovah's Witnesses use without blinking an eye. The names of the days of the week and the months are saturated in obvious pagan false religious superstition and worship! Does it bother them the SAME WAY as birthdays or Easter or Christmas?? NO. Why not?

The Greeks named the days week after the sun, the moon and the five known planets, which were in turn named after the gods Ares, Hermes, Zeus, Aphrodite, and Cronus.

The Greeks called the days of the week the Theon hemerai "days of the Gods".

The Romans substituted their equivalent gods for the Greek gods, Mars, Mercury, Jove (Jupiter), Venus, and Saturn. (The two pantheons are very similar.) The Germanic peoples generally substituted roughly similar gods for the Roman gods, Tiu (Twia), Woden, Thor, Freya (Fria), but did not substitute Saturn.
