So did he answer the question concerning the contradiction?

'Bibliophile' is a simple Greek term that anybody who's formally studied the NT would understand.

Is this a "Big Deal?" I guess it depends on your perspective. Mr. Comfort is a Christian minister and a Christian minister would ostensibly know his subject.

To me, it seems to be another face on the 'sin' of the JW's. JW's don't hesitate to pontificate and express opinions on any subject regardless of whether they know anything about it or not. Do you pick a fight with evolutionary biologists if you know less about botany and zoology than the average intelligent farm boy? JW's don't hesitate to. Neither does Mr. Comfort.

    TD,

    I agree with you 100%.

Having known of Ray Comfort for well over 30 years (from the days when he used to hold forth in Christchurch, New Zealand), I would not describe him as having too much in the way of intellectual skills.

There is such a thing as always remembering to "Engage Brain before putting Mouth into Gear", and - as you pointed out - Ray Comfort is not the only religionist to slip up with that one.

    Bill.

    Ray makes a good point.

"Bibliophile" would be a good term for someone who loves his Bible a little too much.
