By far the most boring part of all meetings is the written review. What kind of stuff did you guys (male and female) do to pass the time. I either to write computer programs, sleep talk to my wife or sleep in the car. If i remember it, i just don't go

Waiting.....
yes......?
Actually, I used to draw pictures all around the edges of my magazines - but particularily during the review. Lol - at least when I'd forget that there was going to be a written review...and went to the meeting like a dummy.

I never cared much for the review either. (I always did lousy because the meetings never held my attention.) I'd usually answer the true-or-false questions, the multiple choice, and the match-the-quote-to-the-scripture. Then I'd take out some paper and draw. Boy, am I glad that they never took those up. (I'm almost shocked that they don't, come to think of it. I guess the guilt of not knowing the answers is enough though.)

Oh, pbpbthhtt, I always aced those.
Like I said, I was a *good* witness.
What WAS horrifying was when we first started 'drifting away'. Twas a slow process, first we missed one meeting, then two, etc. Eventually, we showed up for one after pretty much missing an entire month. It was a written review.
It's amazing - really - me who always aced them, never prepared for them ahead of time and never got a question wrong, after missing just 1 month of meetings, got only about 40% correct (hey, I was still trying to be a good witness at the time [8>] )

I took my worldly husband to meeting and it happened to be written review night, you should have seen his face! He said in a way to loud voice, "We have to take a goddam TEST?" He never accepted the written review, even when he later got baptized, he wrote in silly and naughty answers to all the questions.

I was a "good" little JW and did my Written Review. But I never studied for them - just went by memory. I figured "who cares?". During the last year I was going to the meetings I deliberately missed the nights the WR was on. Then I deliberately missed the other meetings too!

Actually I liked them since I didn't have to listen to yet another boring ass talk that night. And I could draw on the WR paper.
