It's the old god-in-the-cracks argument. If science can't explain something, then instead of maintaining an open mind, believers say that the unaccountable must be evidence of God or some other supernatural entity.
It's getting hard for "God" to peek through those narrowing cracks. But "he" keeps on trying anyway.

Desire and reason are linked in everyone's mind, Satanus. We are flesh and blood, after all.
That said, I often find myself like the 'awakened ' people in the movie 'They Live" - amazed that so much goes on in the world unnoticed, in the mainstream of thought. I probably was high functioning autistic as a youth and this might set me up to be puzzled at the world and just how bizarre it all seems. Such as:
1) President Obama - how on earth did such a sketchy, almost fictional character get elected to the highest office? More than that, how did a man with so little actual ability get elected - and no one noticed for 5 years? I would read right wing blogs making him out to be a Socialist Muslim Mastermind while the truth is, he's just an inept figurehead worshipped by a compliant media.
2) Banks - 60 minutes reports that the banks are running document fraud factories, openly. The Attorney General sez he can't prosecute the banks. The Banks plot to harass and jail protestors. Nothing - NOTHING IS DONE.
3) The FBI gets caught lying, again and again. The NY Times accuses them of being behind many terror plots. Yesterday, it was revealed that they covered up Saudi involvement in 9/11.
Now, obviously, the above (and much more) cries out for reform or "Divine" intervention. Whether that happens, I do not know. However, I think people all over the world are finding out - this year in particular, that the world does not operate the way they thought. I sit back and laugh whenever some mainstream commentator starts by saying that 'the conspiracy nuts seem to be right'.......
If I'm right..... this is going to get MUCH more intense.

I think it would awesome to have something about aliens be true. I am ready to party with some alien women.
Why does everyone assume that there is some kind of a distance problem for space travel? Why would there be a risk of blowing up for other races, if they exist? We humans think we are really smart, if we have not thought of it then it must not be true....
