Even if you accept the new FDS identity as the GB, there was no GB until 1975!!! That's what I see as the largest glaring hole in this new doctrine.
True, but that is why they define the F&DS as an arrangement. The Governing Body is, since it's inception, synonymous with the Faithful and Discreet Slave, but the Faithful and Discreet Slave is not the Governing Body. It is an arrangement of responsible anointed ones serving at God's Watch Tower Organization.

The WTS work like the slave masters of the Ol' south
They gave the slaves somthin' to think over if they tried to escape or cause trouble.
They would threaten to separate them from thier loved ones
LIke the WTS the southern slave masters would impress thier awsome power over the slaves
to show that they had complete control over the lives of the slaves and that the
slaves better had " OBEYED or BE BLESSED " by the whip and separation

Today, it is the brainwashed family members, that hold the awakened ones in captivity

C.T.Russell, the guy who founded the Watchtower magazine and what became the movement that became the JW religion, is kicked to the curb by the Watchtower modern day bumbling GB. Not a one of the BG asswipes is near the theological man Russell was, but because they "liked a new idea", they make Russell less important than themselves in JW theology.
It's a cult.
