Always loved his comedy - very inventive.
In his later years, he was a fixture around town. He'd hang out (sometimes in front of the market, or at an executive services office in the village) and do comedy routines and banter with anyone who came by.

Wow. Thanks for the update. I thought he died a long time ago. Always loved him He was always on the edge (for that era) but would probably come across as pretty lame today. I need to check out some utube stuff to see if he is really as funny as I remember!
I'm with you Fade, I thought he was already dead. he wasn't that funny to me, but my mother used to think he was.

He was a hero/example for Robin Williams growing up and as an adult comedian. Jonathan Winters played Mork and Mindy's child, coming out of a large egg.
He was still working just behind the scenes.
and he did voiceovers in shows like "Pound Puppies" and "Animaniacs." He was Papa Smurf in the 2011 "Smurfs" movie and had been scheduled to reprise the role in this year's sequel.
