They keep many dry-cleaning establishments in business. Just think of all the suits (men's and women's) that are constantly cleaned for meetings.
Many four-door cars have to be manufactured, creating jobs in the car industry because they are quickly worn out by the JWs driving them around, constantly stopping and starting them on Saturday mornings; doors constantly opening and closing.
Businesses that manufacture large sachels and women's bags have a definite advantage when a man becomes an elder or a woman needs a new "service bag."

The keep alot of crazy and unstable people in a contained environment a few times a week.
Well, that's certainly a good thing, however, I remember a Sister in our Cong who when she was "off her meds" used to leave in the middle of the meetings and walk home and call this other Sister later on in the evening and tell her if anything ever happens to her she wanted this Sister to take care of her daughter.

apparell than new
It was a way for the full time pioneers and part time workers to save money
so they could contribute more to the WTS

There's nothing the JW's offer freely that you can't get elsewhere. All of the things they "provide" is done only if you become a JW. Otherwise they won't help you.

What we are missing here the aid they provide in
poverty stricken countries. In Africa for example where
familes may have one meal a day (bowl of rice), no electricity,
no running water. You have the WT mag to bring you comfort.
Your young child belly swollen due to like of food, no problem read
this WT and it will help you to become self-sufficient, but we
are hungry now. Read this and after you finish reading it use it
for kindle. Or you can go to the Red Cross and get food the same
as my family.

What good they do is done with the motive of making converts. Lies are never a good thing and the Watchtower is full of lies.

They teach their members to NOT feed the hungry, they teach their children NOT to get an education, they teach NOT to help their neighbors, only to sell magazines to them. They don't allow charitable contribution, or to improve the community and country by voting. They dont allow thir members to protect their country by serving in the armed forces, even though they enjoy the benefits of others doing so. They preach against violence, while teaching that God will destroy billions of people violently. They destroy families by shunning, while giving lip service to family values. They do not allow young people to express any individualty, or let them enjoy normal childhood activities like sports, gymnastics or dance.
But, yes, they occasionally help some to temporarily improve their life, by giving drink or drugs. Even a blind squirrel gets an acorn now and again.

The witlesses, like the cat lick church, did nothing positive that it didn't itself create the problem in the first place. Without the witlesses (who stole virtually everything from the cat lick church and twisted it around), the cat lick church would be alone in facing this situation--donating to relieve poverty and misery that they themselves created. The witlesses don't even do that--they create the mess and do nothing to relieve it.
