A family that was hammered by the local kids was told by their mother all the kingdom clap-trap. Never once did she go to the school or (heavens) call the Police yes it was that serious. The kids were scared to go outside into their own yard, but then thats the wt strategy isnt it.

If it comes from the washtowel or from the LIE-ble, it will not work. Turning the other cheek only encourages them to act worse, and teachers and parents are as likely to add to the problem and/or do nothing about it. About all this does is to set people up to be mass enslaved, just as joke-hova originally intended.

I was given this same directive as a hemophiliac child. To give you an example, I can bleed internally if I tie my shoelaces too tight, so physical attacks are much worse for me than the average person. When bullies assaulted me I was told I must turn the other cheek so they may hit me on the other side like Jesus, not run away or defend myself.

And then if the injuries I got due to following this extremely stupid advice resulted in me needing fractions, too bad, so sad. Suck it up, don't go easy on yourself and rest like the bible admonishes against. Complain? Well that's a problem too--jehoopla commanded you to be grateful and joyous.

When I defended myself once, the bullies stopped but I got a severe beating for disobedience to the bible.

It's a good thing they are trying to help the kids who are being bullied and the format of this video is pretty good. I don't want to be negative about anyone who is creating awareness on the topic or helping those who may be at risk of bullying. However I will.

The rules they demand JW kids to follow invite bullying. Their advice to help those who suffer bullying is not fully in line with what bullying charities would give. The leadership and example set by some in the organisation develops a passive / victim acceptance role by the majority especially for girls / women. In case that was not clear - the WBTS train it's people to be victims and accept being victims. It wants it's members to be bullied (or persecuted) so they fear the world and continue to accept WT teachings.

There are a breed of JW's who are very controlling bullies. I know one and his son is also the school bully. I feel for all the kids that suffer him - both in the school and in the congregation.

I was bullied in school. I didn't use my fist. I used my foot. Those bullies were afraid of me. A well place hoof to the shins or knee and they were running from me.

My Dad told us to never start trouble. But if we needed to, we could end it. That is excellent advice from a " wordly " person. All children should know that it is ok to defend themselves and others. If every kid in a group believes this, then they keep the bullies in check. I have former bullies turn around, and be accepted by the other kids. A bully is usually a scared kid who doesn't know any better. At least that's how it was in my school days.

Don't get me wrong, there are times when talking and reasoning are the best way to deal with something. We can't go around punching everyone. The problem,IMO, is that kids who are too sheltered never learn to distinguish between situations that require negotiations, and ones that require "aggressive negotiations." If you don't know the difference between the two, then you are going to be a bully or a victim.
