I don't care what the lion eats as long as I can eat the lamb.

I wonder about the translation of this stuff.
I've seen my own pet cats eat grass (but NOT as a primary food source).
Lions are also cats.
Bovine animals, such as oxen, also eat grass. And straw is a type of grass.
So......

Cats eat grass to puke. Like to help with ahairball. I highly doubt it was a prophecy about hair balls.

The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the LORD.
So if the lion eating straw is literal, then the serpent eating dust must be literal as well.
It couldn't possibly be symbolic could it? I mean with all those lamb of god, Satan being a roaring lion, Satan being a serpent, being cursed to eat dust all the days of his life, etc. references...

And straw is a type of grass.
Oh Please....
Every redneck in the world knows the difference between hay and straw.

When I asked him why, after the war, the zoo went back to feeding them meat since they did so well on straw, he said, "Excuse me, I see someone I have to talk to."
No member of the cat family can synthesize taurine. Taurine is an essential amino acid (i.e. Necessary for life) that is not found in vegetation. Pick up any bag of dry cat food in the grocery store and read the ingredients. You'll see what I mean.

Badfish- it's just like the new light prophecy understanding. The first part of the scripture is literal and second part of same verses is figurative.

And they wonder why I call them witlesses. Such rubbish is engineered to deliberately contradict science, and has to go. Anyone can just look at a lion and realize that lions cannot survive on the same diet that cattle thrive on. For starters, lions are big cats. They are the deluxe model of your housecat. Just look at the ingredients of a bag of cat food--many of them claim "Low magnesium". Why? Magnesium is toxic to cats! It ruins their kidneys. And what does most vegetation contain? Large amounts of magnesium! Many animals, humans included, can handle (and need) relatively large amounts of magnesium for good health (for us, it is too little magnesium that is the threat). But the feline system is not designed to handle very much magnesium. Cattle need magnesium in large quantities; lions do not.
This sort of willful suppression of science is what I find objectionable. Just challenge a witless to look at a bag of household cat food that claims "Low magnesium". "Ash" is another product that is bad for cats but not for cattle--it is a fancy name for "dietary fiber". You ask why, and how are lions going to adapt to a high-magnesium diet. They will answer "Jehovah will take care of it". At which point, they are committing stupidity. Why can't they themselves figure out what's going on, even if they cannot themselves effect it? Cats just cannot tolerate much magnesium in their diets, any more than humans can tolerate excessive quantities of monosodium glutamate (which is much less harmful to cats than humans).
Of course, this isn't the only incident of willful suppression of science the witlesses are guilty of--hence, they are committing stupidity. Which happens to be the only sin in Satanism--if the witlesses are going to put out rubbish like that, I hope more of them decide that Satan actually wants us to understand science.
