Religions cater to our higher asperations the way a supermarkets to our hunger/appitites. particularly if they sell a-beverages.
like all tools, the crafty, able and ambitiously manipulative have found it well suited to serve their end.
wt no exception on all levels.

This may very well be true. Quantum physics seems to support this theory. The world may be more like the Matrix than we imagine.

jgnat: find good religious people? yes we can. that is why I referred to spirituality as the higher asperations of people, and the seemingly universal presence of religious traits in humans.
of course, higher aspiration for some people might be wreaking havock in Boston for a few days. or
Leading millions around in error, in doom and gloom.
last time I was in church, they used their magnificent Grand for my kid's music exams, hopefully will again, all with grace.
The dormant/ex/jw struggle here is to find expression, nutrition for ones spritual self while dodging the obious and predicted abusers, be they just naturally that way or schemers.
