Most JW's are not stupid, down deep in their hearts they know something is wrong with the watchtower doctrines.

Changing doctrines and promises of a New Earth from way back 1870 did not materialize, one by one old timers are dying off.

The problem is that most would not dare to express their doubts and continue to live in "fantasy Land" of the cult.

GaryNeal...Priceless! In 1969 I was at our DConvention, sitting in a large Stadium, that had over 80,000 in attendance. We were excited! Things were happening. Fast forward 44 years. The Watch Tower Society got richer...the rank and file, for the most part, got poorer. The Society markets their religion..."everyone a winner". "Yes. Hang onto your lottery ticket. We will be announcing all the winners soon, very soon". Most people wake up to a scam, sooner or later.

I woke up about 5 year ago. As an elder I knew other elders that thought the GB was crazy about the overlapping generations. The problem with many elders is it's a power trip for them. They like to control others and tell them what to do. With that in mind some are waking up but for the most part even if they don't believe they enjoy the control to much to change. Totally ADD

The last time I went to convention, Mr. Splane of their Governing Body said that it may not happen in our lifetime, that it may not happen for thousands of years. But we should take pleasure in knowing that as faithful servants we are assured a resurrection.

A few looked puzzled but sat there nodding like drones.

he said "possibly in our lifetime" !!! that really caught my attention and even my wife's too!

Rephrasing BS based on illogical and ignorant information derived originally from ancient mythology.

Elders just regurgitate whats being fed into them by the WTS. publishing house, without critical thinking upon that information or why

would the WTS. make these kinds of pronouncements. This sales premise that the world is soon to venture into a GT and then Armageddon,

is really an established doctrinal commodity for literature proliferation and distribution and has been for over a century by the WTS.

    There's the real underlining " Truth "

Will the WTS. 50, 60 years from now still use this same attracting proclamation to promote its published literature ?

    Most likely.

"Mr. Splane of their Governing Body said that it may not happen in our lifetime, that it may not happen for thousands of years"

Was this said recently? Maybe the GB is up to something? I'm thinking of 2014 and possible changes in interpretation/chronology.

'Mr. Splane of their Governing Body said that it may not happen in our lifetime, that it may not happen for thousands of years.'

That is quite a change and quite an admission. If i remember right, he is the youngest gb member, gb v3.0. His view could be a sign of where the wt is going w the batch of dubs for the next 50 yrs.

    "thousands of years."

If I were in the room when he said it, I would have been unable to stop myself from saying, "That's a lot of overlapping."
