My mother asked me if I was thinking about it and how bad it will be in the near future. I said I didn't give it a thought.
Is it something you ever think about, now?

no
It was something that I did not give thought to as a JW.
I really don't understand thinking about destruction. And I guess that's why I did not make a good JW.
It's supposed to frighten you.
Frighten you like "terrorism".
Even as a Christian I do not really think about it. If it happens, could I stop it? No. God will save me, or he won't. One thing is clear, I have zero interest in surviving the GT, only to be rewarded with KH attendance for 1,000 years.
DD, lol!
The Great Tribulation already happened in 66-70 ce. Josephus accounts that 500 men a day were crucified. 1/2 of the world's population was killed at that time. 1.1 million people!
So if there was going to another fulfillment of that in our day, it would have to be worse.
NOBODY would survive.
Affectionately Brother of the Hawk
Not that much. After all, it occurred over 1943 years ago.
When I was a JW, I feared a future GT ALL the time.
The Great Tribulation? I already lived through it, thank you. lol Now I am recuperating. I am resting up, so I can enjoy the rest of my life, wiithout Watchtower, interference. How many times, do you have it in you to hear, "The end is coming. The end is coming", before you realize, these people have a warped sense of the real life? The real life is NOT working for free for them, it is being an individual and making decisions for yourself, that fit into your own personality and lifestyle. There is nothing to fear. If there is a scary Bogeyman out there, it is the WTB&T Society, and they know it.
