Born-ins... Did your parents let you watch the 1960's children's animated series "Davey and Goliath"?

Nope. I couldn't even watch Carl Kolchak: Night Stalker which I would sneak out to my g'ma's apartment to watch. I loved that show! My parents felt it was demonic!

We weren't allowed to watch a lot of TV shows or films at the cinema. On Thursdays when I was first in school I had to come home and go to bed so I would be awake at the meeting . I had my pop gun confiscated as well.

I remember watching it as a little kid, probably 5-7 years old.

But even then I realized it wasn't really true since you never saw the dog poop or pee.

Funny how some dub parents allow this or that, but not that or this. Was just talking with a brother at the meeting yesterday and he was riffing on Disney and how it's all magic based, yadda yadda yadda. I was telling him about my love for Transformers as a kid and my mother took me to see the animated film when it hit theaters. Good memories.

One thing funny about my folks though was, they allowed me to watch Thundercats, and in hindsight, that was one of the most demonic influenced cartoons that I can ever recall. The lead bad guy went by the name of, Mumm-Ra the Everliving. He was basically a demon and a sorceror. In his weak state, he would look like a mummy that should have been in a personal care home. Then he would transform into this superpowerful demon who's only weakness was to see his own face in the mirror. When transforming, he'd yell in glee, "I'm Mumm-Ra!! Theeeeeeeeee Everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Livingggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha HA!!!!" How they didn't walk by and tell me to turn it off after hearing all of that is beyond me. Davey and Goliath were tame compared to the cartoons of my generation.

I could pretty much watch whatever I wanted. There were only 3 channels and I had to go to meetings 3 nights

a week. So that put a limit on my tv time.

I could watch what I wanted but I was ground down with education was bad and thats where I spent all

my juvenile years was in school thinking how bad I was for being there.
