That's an interesting quote, but a pretty lame explanation of the scientific method.
Also, scientists are subject to peer review. The GB forbid their followers from even having secret doubts.
They want to appear objective, but that's clearly just an act.

ADCMS: This is an excellent point. Scientific Method has the mindset of disproving current theory, always with the goal of making sure information and theories are correct. In the process of disproving theories, scientists either prove current thinking accurate or they reveal flaws and readjust as necessary. This is how bad science is revealed and debunked.
This is very different from WT mentality, which is continually seeking to prove their position right, and ignoring all evidence that undermines their position. WT hangs on to positions that are untenable precisely because they cannot, and will not, admit error and really are not interested in truth. They must retain their doctrines at all costs to prop up their authority. Therefore, despite all the evidence to the contrary, WT must adhere to doctrines such as 607 BCE, 1914, their belief they are the 'faithful slave', the ban on blood transfusions, disfellowshipping, etc. despite the overwhelming and incontrovertible evidence that says they are either flat-out wrong or need to make adjustments.
