I thought I would use this thread rather than start a new one
Here is actual video of the Russian 737 that crashed on 11/17/2013. It appears to nose in right on the airport property during landing. My first impression would be a stall/spin during the landing attempt.
Another thing I read was that this was his 3rd approach attempt. (Not sure if this info is accurate though. Often, initial crash testimony is flawed.) But as a side note, I used to hear (when I was flying) that the 3rd attempt at an instrument approach was the killer. I suppose that an increasing effort to make this one good is behind the crash that often results. The unpublished rule was, 'two attempts, then go to your alternate.'
