Late 50's & the 60's were very different from today!
There are no "saving graces" in this borg, since the mid seventies!

Things went downhill fast, untill today, where there are no
benefits to being a jw. Might as well have been in mainstream
religion, at least there are celebrations & you just go to heaven.
There is no message to preach anymore ...really, what
would you say at the door now? A big apology, that is about all!
Ya the deep sadness, .....kind of the opposit from what a religion
should be.
Turned me into an atheist (more or less) ... No promises,
and no disappointments.
