Newyork44m - I am flying in on the 12th, have a free day before seeing the Yankees play the Seattle Mariners on the 14th (yes this is for work!).

Band on the Run
I can have a beer with you at legendary Irish bars or posh bars such as the Carlyle Hotel and the Oak Room at the Plaza. W around 14th St. is my favorite. Also, I have never had a drink at the legendary White Horse Tavern in Greenwich Village. Generations of famous American writers, artists, and actors imbibed at the bar. Heck, I know bars all over Manhattan.
The Museum of Modern Art has a fantastic bar.
My favorite bar was at Windows on the World at the World Trade Center. Expensive but worth every penny. We can't go there.
