In the post exilic period I think to call Jews Hebrews is generally regarded as a term of abuse, even anti-Semitic.

I don't know. I just read the Wikipedia article and it seems I was wrong. I don't know where I got that idea.

There had to be conception or else he did not got his birth as a offspring of Abraham, David etc.

I had a lot of thoughts about this and I think the following:

The imperfection is in the genes of males.. not of females... O... females ARE off course imperfect but they do not pass it over. The imperfection is within the seed of males. The Bible states that by one MAN, sin came into the world. Did not Eva also sinned? Yes she did... but the male get's the credits for it.

Because the origin of Jesus of from a different source and by protection of the Holy Spirit who cared for the fruit, Jesus could be without flaws. There was no seed of males involved.

If there was no conception then the whole birth-thing would have been useless... he could have come in the world as a fullgrown person instead...

So Jesus was a hebrew... by birth

This is actually part of a trail that is going somewhere. Look into it, and see if you can see what it is that has been hidden form us (mankind)

    intersting you should say that.

There is a discussin going on on another thead, title: If man evolved ?

when mares and horses are crossed to produce hybrids, apparently the mares genetic material is stored seperate from the sires ( my basic understanding)

IF you believe in the bible.....Jesus was born in Isreal to Jewish Parents. So even with divine intervetion he still came from his mother therefore he is a Jew. He also knew the law and talked about it, so I would think he is a Hebrew.

As to what is hidden from mankind....Ask yourself why people didnt write things down about him till well after his death (Josephus bore 4 years after Jesus died and therefore really would not have written much down till well past 20 years after his death). The 'Gospels' were all written 40 or so years after he died according to bible scholars, and we have no actual copies until 150 CE. (Makes the 70CE temple prophecy rather unimpressive.)

    Estephan:

Jesus is from GOD the only begotten son of GOD. Jew by meaning but not by birth, as none of the genes from Mary were passed on to Jesus, otherwise he would be imperfect.

    mP:

Thats nonsense. No where does the bible mention genes as the way "sin" is passed. Kids today are constructed in tubes, are they "perfect" ?

And yet virtually all modern scholars of antiquity agree that Jesus existed, and although there is little agreement on the historicity of gospel narratives and their theological assertions of his divinity, biblical scholars and classical historians regard theories of his non-existence as effectively refuted.

    MP:

And yet the only thing they can quote is the bible as their proof. Read Ehrmans latest book about whether jesus existed. Basically all he does is repeat we all agree he existed and its absurd to think otherwise.

Do your own research and verify their grand proofs and you will see how pathetic they are.

Considering Jospehus was royal and his uncle or relatives must have been the priests that jesus spoke too, you goto wonder how none of them told him about the miracle man jesus. Given we dont actually know when jesus was born, he could have been around at the same time a baby Josepjus was born. Josephus on the other hand was a very busy writers writing about many other Jesuses but knows nothing about whts written inthe gospels. Nomiracles, zombies, census, solar eclipse, etc . How did none of those events not get mentipned in his writings ?
