Exactly what has the Society outright lied about? I mean stuff that can be proven.

They promised the system would end, several times. Isn't that a lie?
Oh they lied to me personally. When they told me I could quit as a witness any time I wanted to. It wouldn't be a big deal, just fill out a piece of paper. The lie of ommision is they didn't tell me I'd be shunned.

Ephanyminitas,
LIE : WT 7-1-86 p. 31 Questions From Readers ***
“The title ho theos [the God, or God], which now designates the Father as a personal reality, is not applied in the N[ew] T[estament] to Jesus Himself; Jesus is the Son of God (of ho theos). . . . Jn 1:1 should rigorously be translated ‘the word was with the God [=the Father], and the word was a divine being.’”—Dictionary of the Bible (1965), by John L. McKenzie, S.J.Truth: John 20:28 "In answer Thomas said to Him, 'My Lord and my God" or in Greek, "The Lord of me and the God (ho theos) of me".
I could probably give you a lie every day for a month (at least). The main lie, however, is regarding the WTs identity of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "Unless you believe that I Am, you will die in your sins". John 8:24 "I Am" occurs in Exodus 3:14 when Moses asked God what his name was.
I admire your bravery for leaving the WT. It can be a traumatic experience. Keep in mind, you're in good company. We have testimonies of 10 ex-Witnesses on our site that you can listen to in Real Player. Check it out. It may help you. http://www.towertotruth.net/audio.htm

"The end is coming..."
"We never said the end is coming...."
"SOME had false expectations..."
three lies, some 7 or 8 times. Only with the tremndous ourpouring of ex-jw books, the re-emergence of the old literature (thank God for EBAY ) and the advent of the internet, did the Watchcowerds ALMOST admit the turht. They end by saying:
"We don't claim to be prophets."
And my personal favoite: "Tho we may change our doctirne slightly becasue of new/brighter light, we have NEVER gone back to a former/old doctrine...ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!

John 8:24 "I Am" occurs in Exodus 3:14 when Moses asked God what his name was.Unfortunately you have fallen into the trap that many have fallen into. Translating Hebrew and Greek into English will result in similar phrasing for unrelated things/ideas. Here are some translations of John 8:24
Joh 8:24(ASV) I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for except ye believe that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
(BBE) For this reason I said to you that death will overtake you in your sins: for if you have not faith that I am he, death will come to you while you are in your sins.
(CEV) That is why I said you will die with your sins unforgiven. If you don't have faith in me for who I am, you will die, and your sins will not be forgiven."
(Darby) I said therefore to you, that ye shall die in your sins; for unless ye shall believe that I am he , ye shall die in your sins.
(DRB) Therefore I said to you that you shall die in your sins. For if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sin.
(GNB) That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. And you will die in your sins if you do not believe that 'I Am Who I Am'."

The following are Strong's Bible Dictionary comments on the two GREEK words used here.
1473 - Greek
1473 ego eg-o'
a primary pronoun of the first person I (only expressed when emphatic):--I, me. For the other cases and the plural see 1691, 1698, 1700, 2248, 2249, 2254, 2257, etc.1510 - Greek
1510 eimi i-mee'
the first person singular present indicative; a prolonged form of a primary and defective verb; I exist (used only when emphatic):--am, have been, X it is I, was. See also 1488, 1498, 1511, 1527, 2258, 2071, 2070, 2075, 2076, 2771, 2468, 5600.The Hebrew "I AM" has a meaning that has nothing to do with the meaning at John 8:24
Study the Bible deeply, and do not depend on a group of men to tell you what it means.

Dungbeetle says that the Society said: Tho we may change our doctirne slightly becasue of new/brighter light, we have NEVER gone back to a former/old doctrine...
When in the world of worlds did they say this?! I know they've gone backwards about the organ transplants. What else? (I'm learning so much!)

WT 12/1/81
However, it may have seemed to some as though that path has not always gone straight forward. At times explanations given by Jehovah's visible organization have shown adjustments, seemingly to previous points of view. But this has not actually been the case. This might be compared to what is known in navigational circles as "tacking." By maneuvering the sails the sailors can cause a ship to go from right to left, back and forth, but all the time making progress toward their destination in spite of contrary winds.
YEAH---'TACKING IN CIRCLES' IS NOT TACKING AT ALL.. [>:(]
ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MY ASS OFF TO THE POINT OF PROJECTILE VOMITING
It would be funny except for the fact that we have lost 9 Jehovah's Witnesses children in like 16 weeks--all but one directly and violently murdered.
KEEP UP THE HARD WORK FOLKS!!!

The big one at romans 13:1 be in subjection to the superior authorities, which in my opinion would mean reporting crimes such as child molesting, but the society encourage you not to go to the law.

From their web site at http://www.jw-media.org/people/who.htm
Who Are Jehovah's Witnesses?
Jehovah's Witnesses are members of a worldwide Christian religion who actively share with others information about God, whose name is Jehovah, and about his Son, Jesus Christ.
perversion of the truthThey base their beliefs solely on the principles found in the Holy Bible and view first-century Christianity as their model.
false - their teachings are based on a group og men in Brooklyn who keep changing their mindsThey believe that in addition to drawing one closer to God, living by Bible principles gives purpose to life, promotes strong family ties, and develops productive and honest citizens.
another lie - they are confused about who God is and His purpose for man, as one thread here - well amny threads here can testify - they encourage the breaking up of families to gain their own needsInternational brotherhood
This international brotherhood of people of all races is made up of about 5.5 million practicing members organized into more than 85,000 congregations in some 230 lands.
maybe okThey remain neutral in all political conflicts and believe that God will intervene in man's affairs to bring about a peaceful human society earth wide.
another blatant lie - Mexico/Malawi; UN-NGO membership - as long as they get what they wantThe worldwide organization is directed by an unpaid governing body serving at the international offices in Brooklyn, New York. It uses the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, a not-for-profit legal body incorporated in 1884, to publish literature, supervise global evangelizing, and organize conventions and schools for the ministry of Jehovah's Witnesses.
probably one of those lies of omission - does not note the upteen other organizations and the whole "not-for-profit" is more a front especially when they are in the top 40 financial institutions in the USPromoting Bible education
Jehovah's Witnesses promote Bible education by publishing and distributing Bibles and Bible study aids, making personal visits to neighbors, and conducting free home Bible study courses.
Bible education???? more like their own teachings with a smattering of Bible verses to give then some credibilityLocal congregations meet at places of worship called Kingdom Halls. The public is invited to their meetings, and no collections are taken.
yup they are Kingdom Halls in some countries - and yes you can go to the meetings but your behavior will be watched and questions will not be addressed their only in private "home Bible studies" and well no collection plate but they will make sure you know about the box where you can deposit your moneyMembers come from all social, economic, racial, and religious backgrounds. Last year, they devoted more than one billion volunteer hours to Bible education worldwide.
wow that first line sounds so good - too bad it isn't quite accurate - they discouraged higher education for years and most r&f are poorly paid laborers who are encourages to give up jobs, carreers education for the wonderful privilege of full-time service to put more money into the coffers or the WT orgRejoice in the healing and not in the pain.
Rejoice in the challenge overcome and not in the past hurts.
Rejoice in the present - full of love and joy.
Rejoice in the future for it is filled with new horizons yet to be explored. - Lee Marsh 2002
