The man with the recorder's inkhorn in Ezekiel chapter 9 is also portrayed in the early verses of Ezekiel chapter 10.
Revelation 8:5 alludes to this "man," calling him an angel. (Compare Rev 8:5 with Ezekiel 10:2) Numerous reference works point this out. But WT reference works never do. I wonder why?
Moreover, Jesus said in Matthew 13:41 and 49 that he would use the angels to "collect out from his kingdom all things that cause stumbling and persons who are doing lawlessness" and to "separate the wicked from among the righteous." (Compare also the parable of the sheep and the goats. It implies angelic seperation. Also compare Revelation 14:14-19. It too shows heavenly beings doing the 'reaping' of both the good and bad.)
Incidentally, here is a thread showing how the WT initially came up with the idea of the 'man with the inkorn' representing a human or group of humans.
