Hi guys I'm writing a new article for my website about prophesies ,please let me know what you think and give me some feedback .The page is dedicated to prophesy interpretation from ex-Jehovah's Witnesses that don't agree with the interpretation of the Watchtower http://new-jw.org/prophesies/

"There is a fine line between interpreting prophesy and imposing this interpretation upon others as a doctrine. A true Christian who is faithful and discreet should never attempt to cross this line .The word of God provides with guidelines on how to treat prophesy .Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:20 warns us "Do not treat prophesyings with contempt."

Instead we should look at the prophetic Word as a "lamp shining in a dark place" as (2 Peter 1:19-21) reads : "Consequently we have the prophetic word [made] more sure; and YOU are doing well in paying attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until day dawns and a daystar rises, in YOUR hearts. 20 For YOU know this first, that no prophecy of Scripture springs from any private interpretation. 21 For prophecy was at no time brought by man's will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit."

The way the leadership of Jehovah's Witnesses has always tried to interpret prophesy and then tried to impose this interpretation to it's members is truly remarkable and shows lack of discretion and haughtiness that has always displayed .On the other hand ,faithful men of the Bible treated prophesy as an opportunity to seek Jehovah's direction and no matter their interpretation never imposed it upon their brothers .Remember Daniel's example when he finally understood the prophesy of the "70 weeks" .In Daniel 9:2 we read that Daniel discerned the true meaning of Jeremiah's prophesy of the 70 weeks:" in the first year of his reigning I myself, Daniel, discerned by the books the number of the years concerning which the word of Jehovah had occurred to Jeremiah the prophet, for fulfilling the devastations of Jerusalem, [namely,] seventy years." So he proceeded to pray and entreat Jehovah and pray on the behalf of his brothers :" And I proceeded to set my face to Jehovah the [true] God, in order to seek [him] with prayer and with entreaties, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes."(Daniel 9:4)

Please treat the interpretation of the prophesies below in the same manner ..."

The 70 week prophesy is a very interesting one.

The Watchtower has it completely wrong.

At the end of the 70 weeks transgressions are terminated.

So ask yourself if you think the transgressions have been terminated yet.

Also ask yourself when you think that might happen.

Here is a scripture that gives a clue:

    Matthew 13:39-43

The harvest is a conclusion of a system of things, and the reapers are angels. 40 Therefore, just as the weeds are collected and burned with fire, so it will be in the conclusion of the system of things. 41 The Son of man will send forth his angels, and they will collect out from his kingdom ALL THINGS that cause stumbling and persons who are doing lawlessness, 42 and they will pitch them into the fiery furnace. There is where [their] weeping and the gnashing of [their] teeth will be. 43 At that time the righteous ones will shine as brightly as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Let him that has ears listen.

So if the 70 weeks has not yet ended then the timing explained by the Watchtower Society is really screwed up!

So what about the start of the 70 weeks?

    Daniel 9:24-25

And you should know and have the insight [that] from the going forth of [the] word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem

    When did that really happen?

    Acts 15:13-18

13 After they quit speaking, James answered, saying: "Men, brothers, hear me. 14 Sym´e·on has related thoroughly how God for the first time turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name. 15 And with this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written, 16 ‘After these things I shall return and rebuild the booth of David that is fallen down; and I shall rebuild its ruins and erect it again, 17 in order that those who remain of the men may earnestly seek Jehovah, together with people of all the nations, people who are called by my name, says Jehovah, who is doing these things, 18 known from of old.’

The Apostles came to realize that it was happening in the first Century!

What the Watchtower teaches about Artaxerxes is complete BS.

Yep, that is how I treat Bible prophesies.

My aim is not to explain the 70 weeks but to introduce a list of prophesies that have been given a different interpretation from that of The Watchtower's .The list will be in a similar format to the one presented here http://new-jw.org/index/

These prophesy interpratations will be taken from posts in this website that have been considered in the past and from other "apostate" websites

Also what do you think is a top 10 list of prophesies need reconsidering and why ?

    Many thanks

    1/ The "Kings" in Revelation.

Why? - They are NOT pagan kings.

2/ The final day Prophecy in Genesis Ch 49.

Why? - They are the "Kings" in Revelation.

3/ The "disgusting thing" in Matthew 24.

Why? - Nothing to do with Romans in the 1st Century. The brick and mortar temple was no longer "a Holy Place".

and .... Jesus Christ said we should discern it!

4/ The Daniel CH 2:44 prophecy.

Why? - The last kingdom that God set up was Christianity and it has already been ruined. (the next one won't be!)

5/ Jesus Christ distressed about his baptism in Luke 12:50 and the fire that will cause divisions.

Why? - Jehovah's Witnesses have had the audacity and presumption to re-invent Jesus Christs baptism

6/ Luke 21:8 people will come on the basis of Jesus Christs name saying that the due time has approached.

Why? - take a good look at what Jehovah's Witnesses have been preaching from door to door for decades!

7/ Revelation 19:20 which mentions that it is the False Prophet who misleads people into getting the mark of the beast.

Why? - Jesus Christ said the false prophets would come in his name. aka Christian. Only Christians will be deceived into getting the mark of the beast! This one scripture blows to shreds all the popular opinion and convictions!

8/ Daniel Chapter 8 Ram Horns and Goat Horns.

Why? Its about the history of Christianity throughout the last 2000 years. Catholicism > Protestantism > Reforms > Jehovah's Witnesses

9/ Daniel and The Constant Sacrifice being taken away from the Prince of the armies.

Why? - The constant sacrifice that Jesus Christ gave was his own crucifixion and blood. The implication is severe!

10/ Isaiah 66:5, John 16:1-3 and Romans 9:26 all about excommunication (aka Disfellowshipping)

Why? There is only one religion on this planet who exclude brothers through the use of God's actual name. see Isaiah 66:5

    Is that a good start?

9/ Daniel and The Constant Sacrifice being taken away from the Prince of the armies.

Why? - The constant sacrifice that Jesus Christ gave was his own crucifixion and blood. The implication is severe!

Actually the implication is abominable, its an appalling sacrilege, its a disgusting thing!

Now go back and see # 3 and also # 4 above.

It's all about the same things..

Why does Jehovah need sacrifices ? Whats the point of burning part of an animal, and giving the rest to the priests ? Sounds more like a scam to get free food. I cant see the point why the creator of the universe needs gifts like that.

3/ The "disgusting thing" in Matthew 24.

Why? - Nothing to do with Romans in the 1st Century. The brick and mortar temple was no longer "a Holy Place".

    mP:

Everything int he gospels is a commentary about the times and the Romans which the jews could not accept.

    Hebrews 10:19-23

19 Therefore, brothers, since we have boldness for the way of entry into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 which he inaugurated for us as a new and living way through the curtain, that is, his flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us approach with true hearts in the full assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled from a wicked conscience and our bodies bathed with clean water. 23 Let us hold fast the public declaration of our hope without wavering, for he is faithful that promised.

    Matthew 24:15

15 "Therefore, when YOU catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place, (let the reader use discernment,)

    Daniel 8:10-12

. 11 And all the way to the Prince of the army it put on great airs, and from him the constant [feature] was taken away, and the established place of his sanctuary was thrown down. 12 And an army itself was gradually given over, together with the constant [feature], because of transgression; and it kept throwing truth to the earth, and it acted and had success.

    Isaiah 66:5-6

5 Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: "YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame."

6 There is a sound of uproar out of the city, a sound out of the temple! It is the sound of Jehovah repaying what is deserved to his enemies.

    John 16:1-4

16 "I have spoken these things to YOU that YOU may not be stumbled. 2 Men will expel YOU from the synagogue. In fact, the hour is coming when everyone that kills YOU will imagine he has rendered a sacred service to God. 3 But they will do these things because they have not come to know either the Father or me. 4 Nevertheless, I have spoken these things to YOU that, when the hour for them arrives, YOU may remember I told them to YOU.

    Daniel 11:32-34

But as regards the people who are knowing their God, they will prevail and act effectively. 33 And as regards those having insight among the people, they will impart understanding to the many. And they will certainly be made to stumble by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plundering, for [some] days. 34 But when they are made to stumble they will be helped with a little help; and many will certainly join themselves to them by means of smoothness.

    Daniel 8:13-14

13 And I got to hear a certain holy one speaking, and another holy one proceeded to say to the particular one who was speaking: "How long will the vision be of the constant [feature] and of the transgression causing desolation, to make both [the] holy place and [the] army things to trample on?" 14 So he said to me: "Until two thousand three hundred evenings [and] mornings; and [the] holy place will certainly be brought into its right condition."

Important to discern here is that the "Contant Feature" that was taken away from Jesus Christ will be re-established so that the profaned temple will be repaired.

Also important to discern is that the "Constant Feature" therefore has absolutely NOTHING to do with animal sacrifices!
