>> Thank god for the Internet!
Does that mean Al Gore is god?
Yeah, I know, most people think Internet == World Wide Web so really it was Tim Berners-Lee, a British chap.
Apparently narrowly missed demo-ing it to Steve Jobs ... how different history might have been !

In case you didn't know how he died or who he was ..
Turing's homosexuality resulted in a criminal prosecution in 1952, when homosexual acts were still illegal in the United Kingdom. He accepted treatment with female hormones (chemical castration) as an alternative to prison. Turing died in 1954, just over two weeks before his 42nd birthday, from cyanide poisoning. An inquest determined that his death was suicide; his mother and some others believed his death was accidental. On 10 September 2009, following an Internet campaign, British Prime MinisterGordon Brown made an official public apology on behalf of the British government for "the appalling way he was treated." As of May 2012, a private member's bill was put before the House of Lords which would grant Turing a statutory pardon if enacted
...as far as I know God doesn't grant pardons to suicide.. especially atheist ones
sad 42 is to young to die .. especially if it's because it's illegal to be who you are

Sad too considering how much he did for the war effort at Bletchley Park
Wasn't too far from where we used to live in the UK:
