A beautiful way of putting the truth . . .
Thanks, zeb and rip!
Yes, zeb -- saddest days of my life. When 2 family members were taken off life support.

I sat with my uncle as he took his last breath and passed away, he had been sick from cancer for some months, his wife & family had stopped visiting him at the hospise some days earlier (all jdubs). This was one of my sadist days in my life.
I couldn't believe that his family would stop visiting bcoz they could not stand the pain & suffering he was going through
Appreciate your comments, Jeffro and Finally.
Never thought of that angle, Jeff -- so obvious I missed it!
Sorry about that lack of humanity, Finally, amongst family members. Good you were there.
Best.

There is limited capacity for life here on earth. We are immensly fortunate to experience even one day here. Who are we to demand to live forever at the expense of others experiencing life too?
If I had the offer of everlasting life in exchange for all the people ahead of me not gaining the privilege of life .... I'm not sure i could accept it.
It is a myth that humans are unique in not wanting to die, the JW question to householders "name the date of your death if you don't want to live forever!" Is as offensive as it is ignorant. All animals fight to live, it doesn't mean they are all destined to live forever, even by JW doctrine.
the statement that settled it for me when I was leaving was simply.... "10/10 humans die." It is as simple as that. All humans ever have all died. Did I really buy into a story that I will be one of the first that wont?!?......... Facepalm.
I was with my uncle and my mother when they died. I held their hand.
Death is the only certainty in this life. Everything else is what we make it.
