I would love a good round of debate on communism if you are up for it.

This is a fun place if you like the sound of your own voice. This site is like a mirror image of the WTS -- pepole talk and talk and talk and never learn anything for the most part. I'm not sure if they are just not interested or incapable. But if you're an XJW, it's nice company.

I would like to debate with credibility.

Understand who you're debating with. There's something quixotic when a layman attempts to debate someone with formal credentials in their field. That's happened on this forum a few times.

Actually Jgnat lets put communisam on the endangered topics list ( i am not up on politics) and when i look at the crap going on in the world i dont think any man magical political system has the answers....oh the Witnesses are at my door and they have all the answers and suddenley ..

Don't concern yourself with "formal credentials" since my experience is that those with formal credentials are often dishonest and likely flaunt their credentials to give wieght to their lies. The CIA employs the brightest of all minds so they can be masters at deception. The CIA is the biggest lying machine in the world - BUT, that's not to say we are not happy about that. We want them to lie and lie well to deceive our enemies, right?

The most critical thing you likely will ever learn from someone with "credentials in the field" is what they are trying to cover up.

Thanks Larsonger 58 yes the field of manipulation...thats why we cant debate with the Governing body, because only they know there true agenda.

P.S. with the greatest respect Lars i think only you know your true agenda, but i do appreciate some of your posts and sometimes you make great points.

If you were unable to compose a simple three word sentence in ancient Greek, would you debate an esoteric point of translation with someone holding a doctorate in linguistics? That has actually happened on this forum.

jgnat ok a debate on communisam, communisam and the Governing Body both recognize that rule over peoples minds is the key to rule over the entire world. Debate true or false?

Talk is cheap as they say.... does one want to discuss things/chat with spin doctors with slippery minds and slippery tongues...

or does one want to get to know people.

I guess it really depends on what one wants to do, and each should follow their own path.

I love reading some of the great information posted, debated and contributed by the many members of this community.

Resolving to "true or false" early does not inspire lively debate. What I would like to debate regarding communism is to consider the relative benefit to the people. I would also like to distinguish between political and economic systems. For instance, I would compare democratic with totalitarian, and communist with laissez faire. And how do we rate the benefit to the people? Will we talk about intangibles like "freedom", or hard measures like GDP?
