Im working again at the moment, setting up a spare parts store for an electrical maintenance company.
I cant believe the pressure in the work place.Everythings gotta be done yesterday, but noone wants to pay you any money to do it, and noone wants to give you any resources to execute the job.The guy in charge there is on a salary, and he works 60 hours a week minimum.
He worked on a repair job till 4am this morning, and the big bosses were complaining cause he didnt come in till lunchtime! Can you believe such SHIT?
Maybe Ive lost touch over the past couple years, been a homebody.
Everythings computerized. Noone at the place knows how to operate a computer in terms of troubleshooting anything that goes wrong, and things go wrong all the time.Phones ringing,mobiles, pagers. email communication that noone knows how to operate properly.Printers that dont work. Chaos, chaos chaos.
And the traffic!
The roads here are BEDLAM compared to what they were ten years ago.
You cant DRIVE anymore, youre sat stationary at lights more than your driving. What the hell has happened to the world?
A guy dropped off a delivery this morning at work. He had a handscanner which I had to sign to recieve the goods.I felt like ramming it into his ear. Thru this hand scanner and other equiptment in his van, his employers knew where he was every minute of the day, if they checked.
Is that "Big Brother" or is it not??
Im starting to hate this society we live in.
I dont want to play their game any more.
And do you know whats turned me against it?
All the mind control books Ive read. I see "Big brother" in my soup.
Anyone else remotely feel this way?

Sometimes there is nothing you can do but change your attitude about the situation. If you are stuck in traffic, honking your horn and driving up somebody's ass or racing to the next red light isn't going to change anything.

Keep some bottled water in the car, turn up the radio, and accept you and everyone just have to WAIT. And if your boss is on you and your customers are pushing you, and you are working the best you can, then THEY CAN WAIT. Sometimes there is nothing more you can do.

Did I hear you say 'big brother'?? Oh I really like Nathan...he's to die for...and what do you think of Jessica??? A hippy wannabe...but such a cutie and a good voice...so far she is my favourite...I love her easy going nature and her willingness to sing. Already I strongly dislike Murubai or whatever her name is...droll dame...Damien is going to be interesting...and I can NOT stand that girl who is the legal secretary..Katrina??? I poke my tongue out at her...blah! Who do you love/hate??

Oh sorry RF...where were we...yes back to you. Traffic..yes very annoying....I hate traffic...it only holds me up from getting home in time to watch big brother. And the work environment...very tedious...no one at work wants to talk about big brother [>:(] And as for society...people are so fickle...why didn't those Sarah Marie jarmies ever take off?? No one does the bum-dance anymore!!

btw..I tape EVERY episode if you should miss one and want to borrow my tapes...I LOVE BIG BROTHER.

I used to work at a place like that. For three and a half freaking years! I kept telling them that people who did the same work as me were getting paid much more. They laughed and said the statistics I was pointing to were padded. Then I realized that I was being a dumb ass for staying there.

I quit and got a job paying twice as much.
