Anyway, loved this especially:
I found that generally the people at the hall were very shallow...there was always a flaw in personality about all of them that made it impossible for me to like them

Back when the wife and I were trying to be good witnesses, she would criticize me for not making friends at the hall. I just COULDN'T do it, though. I'm a thinker by nature. I love knowledge, computers, science, etc. Although I've grown more sociable since I left the org, I still find it hard to talk with STUPID people. And the org sure had a lot of STUPID people in it.....not just unreasoning, either...I mean DUMB. Like 'George W'-DUMB ()

sounds like we'd get along then ;) I can't stand stupid people either. haha and in a way the organization tried to "level the playing field" in a way similar to Harrison Bergeron...you're punished for being smart! Yup, that's my problem...too much of that "wordly knowledge" ;)

I think i'm holding on to them pretty well. I refuse to give in to corporate america. I turned down a 100K/yr job a week ago with a big name security company because I talked to an ex-employee and found out how they treat their employees. I'm not so weak that I'll change how I think for some amount of money :p
