I was wondering if I am considered one by the WT defintion. I have never been a JW in my life but I disagree with their doctrine. Are all the "worldies" considered "apostates" or just the ex JWs?
Am I an "apostate"?

Depends, do you know the secret handshake?
(the definition of apostate is one who rejects their faith, cause, political party, etc. So, unless you WERE a witness, believed their teachings, then rejected it, you don't really fit the technical definition.)

The Watchtower mis defines apostacy as leaving a religious organization. True apostates are those who leave God and Christ, not those who leave a particular religious organization. After all Charles Taze Russell left the Prespterian Church, then he joined and left the Congretational Church, and then he Joined and left the Second-Adventist movement. Which according to the current watchtower definition of apostacy would make him a 3 time apostate!

I must not be a real "apostate" since i dont know the secret handshake :)
So since i have never been a witness, i am not technically an "apostate" , right? why then do the jWs that come to my door run away when i start talking to them about my belief in Jesus? :) Even the ones on this site won't answer three simple questions. aren't they supposed to try to convert me? Don't they care that im going to die at Armaggedon? If God is with them, why would they be afraid of little ole me? What do they have to fear?
Why won't they answer my questions? -

If a JW ever thinks that you are speaking against the bOrg, then he will conclude that you are an apostate. It's that simple.
Definitions are not relevant.

What are your 3 questions?

If you aint never been a JW, you can't be in our gang - it's as simple as that.
And bribing Xander for the handshake is Simony, so cut it out!!!Quite a number of my Christian friends get avoided, too. Funny that!
I'd like to hear your questions, too.

They run 4christ because they are ill-equipped to handle a knowledgable foe like yourself. They are after people who know nothing of them or the Bible so that they can quickly boondogel them into joining this wackey cult. You are too great a challenge. Their faith is so weak that they will not allow themselves to be confronted with anything that would risk sending them over the edge. That is why they are forbidden to read "Apostate" material, talk to Ex-JWs, or visit this site. The Watchtower Society's confidence in their own brainwashing is so low that they can't risk any fair debate format. They must always have the upper hand or they are uninterested in responding to a challenge.
