Satunus - reminds of a quick convo (don't even think convo is the right word it was so brief)
I was visiting in Ireland many years ago at a very big horse show. there was a little dog show on this one day,
( there is still an element of anti-brit hatred prevalent, and due to my schooling, I sound very british,)
Anyways, there was a lovely dalmation in the ring, fella besides me starts yapping about the dog, i says how they used to be Carriage dogs for and could run all day,
he makes a snide comment about 'how lucky they are now they don't have the 'gentry' no more, (the elite, having a dig, thinking I was English)
Oh I says, you still have them, they haven't gone away, they just wear different caps now.
