Oubliette makes a good point. Even the title of that first "Watchtower" mentioned that Christ was already present. That was when CTR said that Christ came in 1874 and would bring about destruction within a 40-year generation- 1914.
At what point in the story did WT get it wrong, went off at a tangent?
