What an interesting story. It's such a shame that your family totally cut you off simply because the elders said they must, and all as a result of you wanting to know more.
What completely blows my mind is that your father, who was NEVER a JW, also cut you off allegedly "in order to preserve peace at home." I'm sorry, but I just cannot respect that. That is so messed up. It is completely wrong.
Nevertheless, it sounds like you've made a good life for yourself.
I look forward to reading more about you.
