I remember there being 'admonition(TM)' from the platform about how disrespectful it is to sky twat Jar Hoover if we nod off when speaking to our imaginary despot god.

I was always nodding off when praying. I noticed in the end it didn't matter if I prayed or not the results were always equally disappointing snooze or not!

Yes Punky, I remember those admonitions. But, I felt that Jehovah already knew the words in my heart before speaking them and understood. I didn't let it bother me. ( Romans 8:26- groanings unuttered)

By your user name I perceive you slept a long time Rip.

There were prayers at a$$embĀ£ies and CONventions that made me want to nod off.

And Punky, one's power of perception is pertinent while prone and prostrated in prayer!

There were different personal opinions that seemed to prevail about prayer.

    1. You can pray anywhere at any time any place.

    2. You should only pray at night kneeling at the bedside.

in any case DON'T NOD OFF!

If you nod off and are unable to say "in Jesus name" then the prayer does not make it through. So you could be praying for hours, deep thoughts from the heart and doze off just before the end and all that was in vain.

Which brings up the subject of "Where is the prayer being buffered or recorded up until the point where you launch it by saying the special "In Jesus name"?

Seems like it would have to have been "stored" for lack of a better word by some intermediary of Jehovah until those words are said, since he does not hear it personally until, again, those special words are uttered at the end. Of course once you say those special words, then it is properly forwarded to Jah so that he can hear your prayers.

I think it makes more sense to say those words at the beginning of the prayer, you know, to open the connection before spending all that time praying for nought.

It gives the idea of "In the Cloud storage servers" a whole new meaning, as it were.

NJY - Perhaps we need to download the 'cracked' version of 'prayers that are heard'. It will save entering the product key 'In Jesus name' at the end.

Start out the prayer that what follows is in Christ's name. Then if you fall asleep, the prayer is on its way...........

What about the brothers called on to pray that are sleeping............

It's like hitting submit on a post a new thread. If your internet drops out before submitting, sorry you gotta type all that out again.

The WBT$ approved prayer usually carry the same loaded language and format. They will send a person to sleep.

They might as well just post one on the notice board at the back of the Kingom Hell and be done with it.

OoooOOOOooOOOoooooooh, Ja-hooooooooooOOOOOovvvvvvvEEEeeerrrrrrr in heaven. We approach your throne of undeserved kindness..........dear father...........thank the faithful slave..........(recap of the meeting) yadda yadda yadda...................drone drone drone.......dear father..........in Jayzuz name Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmen (substitute Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyymen for the USA)
