Every once and awhile they come by, but I don't answer the door. Don't have any more time for that stupid nonsense. Freedom is a beautiful thing.

Here in the wilds of PA in the last two years we have lived here only once did they come and that was last year when we was at work. They left a invitation to the DC in our door. I am not sure but I think our house borders 3 diffrent territorys by 3 diffrent congregations. So we get overlooked. It's great. About 2 months ago a car drove up our driveway and two people got out of the car. They were all dressed up we thought they were JW. It turned out they were insurance salesmen. Still no sell. But we laugh after they left all hop up on what we was going to say if they was JW. Totally ADD

Band on the Run
They come rarely. Most people see the Mormons more. I must still live on Goat Hill. Since I live in a private complex, I tell them to tell me who invited them onto private property or I am going to call the police. They still would come every five years or so. Recently, I was so furious about domestic abusive being glorified in the Wt and a quote from a Nazi theology convicted at Nuremberg precisely b/c of his theology. He mainstream Nazism and made it acceptable to the German public, according to neutral web sites. Two women came. I felt so sad. They don't even know what is in the WT-not that I ever knew.
For some reason, they were talking with me and I noticed that their eyes focused on my bookshelves and their eyes bugged out. I said that yes, I had multiple Bibles and commentaries. Would they want a look? They fled. After they left, I looked around my apartment for the trigger. What was suddenly so offensive. I saw a Beatles shrine, a NY shrine, Asian monkeys, a Russian icon, and a very small cross in an Egyptian bowl from the Metropolitan Museum. Pretty boring in my eyes. I recalled how I would view such a scene while still in. It is so funny and so sad.
If I gave them money to come, I don't think anyone will ever return. Thanks to art and John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

A good question, they don't do as much as they use to do. With all the growth and their "End" coming so soon, why are Streets that once were worked every three weeks now worked once a year?
Too busy at Starbucks?
Driving around in circles instead of preaching "door-to-door"?
"Text Witnessesing" and Skype or Pal-Talk.
There is a physical decrease in the amount of time spent going "door to door" and "Market and Business Witnesssing" but the numbers from the local Kingdom Halls show a increase in Field Service with elders telling their congregation "We are beyond the National Average and the Circuit Overseer was impressed with your performance in the Field Service. What zeal we have as a congregation!"
Our zeal is based on writing a number or two on a time-slip, that's how we are measured and gauged as "strong or weak", "loving or unloving", "generous and selfish", "caring or uncaring", concerned or apathetic. Something went wrong about fifteen years ago, things were not like this, what really happened to our Organization? It feels like we are part of a Multinational uncaring Big Business instead of the "Mom and Pop" shop we thought we were!

You do not owe that person an apology, everything you said was the Truth and most Witnesses are too quick to slap themselves on the back for all their good deeds and strange works. I could picture your son with Chemo packs while all the good Piousneers and other "good people" ignore you and your family, rushing to embrace the freakshows they met in Field Circus, the types you remember? We had the "Harry the Homeless man" and "Schizo-Sally Jane" and dont forget "Mad Margarat!" while they shun their own brothers and sisters who tried their best to attend their spectators religious ritual. You spoke the truth to her, you actually held back and acted with more kindness than many elderly blunt JWs I worked in Service with! Good for speaking your well-trained mind, peace to you!
