So, unexpectedly, the final talk was announced today and to my surprise and evil glee, they announced Gerrit Loesch as the speaker! First off, at the beginning of his talk, he interrupted himself in the middle of his sentence to scold the microphone brother to lower my mike it's right in my face.
Anyway, It was the talk on Inspired Truth, vs. Inspired Falsehoods. He went through 6 expressions inspired by the demons. I'll share three of the gems with you.
Number 4 falsehood was "higher education has nothing wrong with it because it is a conscience matter". He gave three reasons it is demon-inspired:
1) Studies show that most kids go to college to receive higher paying jobs. No shit, really?
2) college education makes you look down on people, knowledge puffs up. Except for the people who learned the truth after college, they're ok because they learn true humility in the org. Seriously, he said that.
3) college education tends to encourage people to rely on and try to "save" this system, making the end seem further away than it is. Really? They've been teaching this hogwash for 120 years. I'm sorry, it's time for a stream-of-time reality check.
Number 5 was that it was a demon inspired expression to say once-a-child-abuser, always-a-child-abuser. Child abusers can change so we can't condemn them. Interesting tact, given the Candance Conti trial right now. I guess they're preparing a counter-attack talking about their position of mercy, while in the same breath he said that a habit of viewing "gross" pornograhy would require one to be disfellowshipped from the congregation. Really!? Double standard, anyone?
The last demon-inspired expression was the belief that Internet dating was ok. Clearly, a work of the devil. Heaven forbid all those single people at these desert-quality conventions with no one to date actually turn somewhere else to find a mate.
Anyway, phe ended up going overtime to boot, which LOL was probably the single biggest demon inspired expression of the day.
The program today was otherwise total drivel. There was a stupid drama that showed a dude conversing with Job in paradise (major play on the heart-strings) and another dumb skit about how immigrant workers need to go back to their home countries or not go at all.
complete regurgitated crap.
