I like everything about the apple but the worm in it.
I like everything about the mushroom except the poison in it.
I like the look of the waxed fruit except for the nutritional value.
I think Hitler had a lot of talent as a public speaker and leader; pity about all those deaths.
Hyperbole, of course.
The Society of Jehovah's Witnesses contains hundreds of thousands of wonderful people. But, as Forrest Gump was fond of telling us, "Stupid is as stupid does". Wonderful German people with smiling faces and a fondness for apple pie and mom went off and gassed six million Jews.
Let us ignore for a moment anybody who has died as a result of not taking a blood transfusion be they man woman or child. Let us ignore politically
motivated killings of JW's by violent leaders in Africa, such as Malawi due to Governing Body dictums. Let us also set aside the brothers and sisters who
read Judge Rutherford's articles in Watchtower or Awake! that vehemently denounced vaccinations as worthless medical procedures or those who were
told to cure apendicitis with olive oil, or who were warned against the poisons of aluminum cookware.
Let us turn a blind eye to any who might have perished by believing that germs don't cause disease because of a health article given to them by the mouthpiece of god. None of those things will we count at all as "bad" for the moment....
What is heroic and what is a hot steaming waste about JW's?

Ask yourselves who the real heroes in life are? Are they not the people who are doctors and nurses and teachers and firemen and policemen and counselors and humanitarians?
We are missing generations of those kinds of heroes who do NOT exist because Jehovah's Witnesses destroyed them all! (Really? How?)

There are no research scientists coming out of JW households unless they disdain the so-called Truth of Jehovah's "pure religion". No scientists at all. Why? They are choked off from the education and the ambition and the perspective that helping anybody is important unless that help is joining a Kingdom Hall.
There are no JW charities, no JW hospitals, no JW daycare facilities, no JW nursing homes, no JW schools or colleges, no JW retirement plans, no JW mental health facilities---nothing at all. Why? Because Armageddon is coming and we don't need to "waste" our time with such "nonsense". Ha!
What can you objectively say that is good about nice people with nice smiles who destroy all the futures of their children by smothering their sense of social responsibility?

What kind word can you objectively offer that would do justice to a group that single-handedly eliminates millions of people from being of use to society? Jehovah's Witnesses regard everybody but themselves as corpses and vermin. Does this sound like Hitler's view of the Non-Aryans? Or am I reaching too far with my analogy?

If you have a group of people who are like an apple with a worm in it, like waxed fruit who appear real but will poison you and who prevent smart and healthy kids from growing up to be doctors, nurses, firemen, policemen, researchers, school teachers, or mental health workers--what can you say about such a group at all that isn't negative and condemnatory and still be telling the truth about them?

JW's aren't merely delusional. They are not merely mislead people who are otherwise honest.
JW's are taught to defend lies and twist their own sense of honesty in the defense of policies and doctrines that destroy people's sense of being a citizen.
How many real leaders come from among Baptists, Catholics, Methodists, Mormons, etc? How many from among JW's???
If JW's want to counter balance bad social policies and yet ignore the very meaning of what FREEDOM is all about by stifling patriotic participation in democracy---aren't they then fighters against democracy?
Cynically, Jehovah's Witnesses only avail themselves of the benefits and ignore the responsibility of freedom!
If being a Jehovah's Witness is so wonderful, I might ask: "Wonderful for whom?"

Are the children of JW parents given any kind of life or future at all except to be a Watchtower drone and magazine salesman?
Will they ever know what life is really all about? Or, will their kids live on the threshold of fear of death at the hand of executioner angels if they seek a higher education or make friends with a kid who goes to a church?

I think if we are honest, clinical and objective we will not need to be subjectively passionate in our choice of words describing the kind of people who steal the future of every man, woman and child they call upon with their depressing literature and phoney chronology and selfish and worthless social policies.
JW's are a sick society of potentially wonderful human beings snatched from their own potential.
JW's are dupes persuaded, bullied and controlled to serve a master who uses them to proliferate propaganda about a world that does not, will not and should not ever exist!
How wonderful are you, oh Witness of Jehovah?
Wonderful is as wonderful does.
If you don't DO anything worth mentioning then you aren't very wonderful.
We each have to get up off our saggy bottom and actually PERFORM an act worth mentioning. We can gather strength and perform the miracle of getting better and better at something each day.
That old saying should be taken very much to heart: IF you aren't part of a SOLUTION then you are part of the PROBLEM.
7 million Jehovah's Witnesses are a waste of good people and a genuine, endemic problem all to themselves.
Oh what real good they could do with those 70 millions hours every month!
But, they are too busy Heiling their Brooklyn Hitlers.

I like the analogy you used in comparing Hitler's stealth propaganda over the German nation in how one person's drive for
absolute power and control drove millions of Germans to believe in his maligning wrought.

Jah–Jireh Charity Homes may be run by persons who are Jehovah's Witnesses. I don't see "Watchtower Bible and Tract Society" connected to it in any way, however.
I know Jehovah's Witnesses who run a window washing company and a roofing company too.

In fact, the wife of Pastor Russell wrote in 1898, when speaking about her husband’s claim of doing a charitable work by providing food and clothing to the poor during a terribly cold winter, “We know of no such charitable work ever undertaken by either Mr. Russell or the congregation, and they are taught that the greatest and all-comprehensive charity is the distribution of his literature. It is quite unlikely that that winter was any exception to all the winters before and since.”

Many people don't realise that, every year, the HMRC pays millions of pounds in "gift aid" to support the work of Jehovah's Witnesses, even though much of the work done by JWs is solely for the benefit of the organisation itself, which is based in the USA. Furthermore, if you look closely at the beliefs of JWs, you will find that many of the teachings and practices are extremely damaging to the members, both physically and emotionally (i.e. the shunning of former members, the refusal of blood transfusions, and the terrible record with handling cases of child abuse).

For that reason, in 1918, the president of the Society and seven members of the board of directors were sentenced to 80 years in prison, because the president refused to use two of the magazines published in America under his direction for war propaganda against Germany. These two magazines, "The Watchtower" and "Bible Student" were the only magazines in America which refused to engage in anti-German propaganda and for that reason were prohibited and suppressed in America during the war.

In the very same manner, in course of the recent months the board of directors of our Society not only refused to engage in propaganda against Germany, but has even taken a position against it. The enclosed declaration underlines this fact and emphasizes that the people leading in such propaganda (Jewish businessmen and Catholics) also are the most rigorous persecutors of the work of our Society and its board of directors. This and other statements of the declaration are meant to repudiate the slanderous accusation, that Bible Researchers are supported by the Jews.

The conference of five thousand delegates also noted - as is expressed in the declaration - that the Bible Researchers of Germany are fighting for the very same high ethical goals and ideals which also the national government of the German Reich proclaimed respecting the relationship of humans to God, namely: honesty of the created being towards its creator.

The conference came to the conclusion that there are no contradictions when it comes to the relationship between the Bible Researchers of Germany to the national government of the German Reich. To the contrary, referring to the purely religious and unpolitical goals and efforts of the Bible Researchers, it can be said that these are in full agreement with the identical goals of the national government of the German Reich.

We are looking forward to your kind approval, which we hope to receive soon, and want to assure our highest respect to you, honorable Mr. Reichskanzler.

You are correct Terry the Jah Jireh homes are not a product of the Watchtower Organisation they are a product of certain JWs coming to terms with old age by originally turning a guest house into a care home which according to historical statements from Brooklyn wasn't supposed to happen the irony of it though is the fact that every one concerned with the running of the homes including the ones who live in them do not seem to stop and question the fact why hasn't the New World shown up and with each passing year new arrivals are admitted to be taken care of . You would think that the trustees would check with the Watchtower Org. to find out exactly how many more generations of old folk will have to be cared for.

I'm wondering just how the official Watchtower organization would even go about discouraging such provisions for the aged and infirm and
how embarassing it is that the "loving" leaders in Brooklyn never thought of doing it for ALL the members.
Stop and think about the fact that 7 million members--if they donated specifically for a cause--could make wonderful things happen if so directed.
But--that will never happen. And we all know why, too.
