  That's really suspicious. I would just tell them no. There's nothing in the bible that says you have to give a corporation your blood info

  Earthfire that has been what I have telling them but this year it is diffrent they are hounding me over and over for it. They keep asking for a stupid number on the DPA card to see if it's up to date. (the DPA laws in the state haven't changed in years so I don't see why they would need a new one) First time was easy I just yes it was up to date. Now three months later they asking again for this stupid disaster thing and now they want to see it and have a copy at the hall ASAP. (I have fake one in my wallet with my real DPA with a non JW family member so for them to keep asking to see it is damn suspicious) There is no reason I can see to keep this up I have told them that it is up to date but they are insisting on having a copy for their files should a disaster happen the circuit overseer and bethel can better coordinate relief work (scamming). They said this comes from bethel and all circuits in the USA are going to start doing this.

  Bobcat the blood card is a DPA in this state which is what really started to wake me up to this mess of a religion. I refused to sign a DPA for blood the old blood cards I felt were enough. Then they came out with the DPA in our state I refused it because it felt to cultly

  They basically forced it a few years later when they realized the wording for a DPA in Texas was simple enough to print into something small enough to fit in a pocket. So we now have combined DPA blood cards in Texas.

  Well I said enough was enough and for the longest time just carried an old blood card. But several years ago (way before I started posting here) they forced everyone to show the elders their cards and they caught my old card so they put a gun to my head figuratively and so I signed a new DPA card. Which when I was still believing that crap was OK. Later when I woke up from the bethel induced comma (brought on by reading about WTS back pedaling on organ transplants) I decided dying for a misaplication of a religious dietary restriction was a bad idea I found out you can null it instantly out with a newer DPA. So that's what I did I nulled it out and carried a fake blood card with instructions to find my real DPA. This is most likely what I will be doing again BTW. But this feels weird as they are insisting on seeing the card to check to see if it's legal when they know it is. One of these elders is on the HLC and he knows it's good for life period so for him to ask is very, very suspicious.

  Any time someone tries to force me to do something I do not wish to do I play the lawyer/police/ legal authorities card.

  I am nice until I get pushed and then I get serious and firm real fast.

  "Shall I call my lawyer to arrange a meeting to discuss this with you?"

  See how fast they back down.

  I would just tell them that you've decided that your medical documents are private. Tell them once, with a witness by your side, and never repeat yourself again. If they ask, tell them to tell you what you said.

  You might also, but I don't think they will do this, but you might ask them to put their request (for your DPA) in writing (signed of course) (Or, record the conversation!). The Society is careful to keep the aura of blood refusal being a personal, voluntary choice. Any (proof of) pressure to have such a card I don't think would fly well with Bethel. (And the Russian & Bulgarian embassies would probably like to have such evidence, for this is one of their pet peeves with the WT.)

  5go- Just tell the BOE to contact your attorney, that usually shuts them down.

  I could be wrong but I think trying to force u to give them this info and for them to copy and file would be a violation of the health ins.portability accountability act.known HIPAA.They really don't have a right to this info. Hope this helps.

  Yeah rechecked Texas law if the legilature changes wording on the DPA the old ones are still considered valid for life or until a new valid DPA is created. So them asking to see if the old one has correct wording or number is BS it is still valid.
