Lilacs there is no understanding other than we're guys, we like getting laid, we are control freaks and we will justify our actions no matter what we do.

LB, admitting the problem is half the battle. LOL You are now on the road to recovery. he he

I don't want someone in my life I can live with. I want someone in my life I can't live without.

LOL @ Lilacs - at least you've still got your sense of humour girl!

Let's face it - there are precious few decent men that are available these days, and we have to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

It's a tough job but someone's got to do it.

There's nothing to understand, Shari. It's like saying you want to understand why water is wet.

It's just that way. Some people are selfish. Some are deceivers. Some are clueless, some are evil, some are demented.

You just have to develop an ability to spot the signs early on. There's no need to discuss it with them. No use to try to point it out or get them to admit it, or to change. It's wasted effort. What is, is.

Like everybody's saying, just move on. There are decent men in the world. You won't be meeting any of them while you're investing effort in a lost cause, though.

I think it’s kinda simple, Lilacs. Here’s the deal...

A woman gets involved with a man. They marry... they don’t marry. Either way, the relationship isn’t very good. He mistreats her, they don’t get along... whatever.

However it goes, she ends up pregnant. It’s a boy. She ends up trying to raise the perfect man since the one she got is far less. Gives the male toddler everything while training him to expect little in return.

He learns at Mama’s tit and goes forth into the world.

    Lilacs,
I have to say that I agree with COMF and Imbue.
I dont believe all men are like this just as much as I dont believe all women are any particular "way". Each person is an individual.
There are nice guys out there.

I think Teejay has a point. Mother's spoil their sons and sons then go looking for someone as supportive as their mom.

I think this is true even in gay relationships except it gets even wackier when both men are looking for their mothers.

There is alot of truth to Naeblis' first remark, as well as COMF's and TJ's. Joel's comment just plain cracks me up..LOL

I got this email the other day. It applies to women, but I'm sure the thought can equally be applied to guys.

I think the concept of the joke is nothing new, but I had a laugh over it.
